Yes, I don't know why people are so reluctant to relive some of the most deeply traumatizing moments of their lives in a forum where they will be ruthlessly questioned and disparaged for days on end, either in a court of law or the court of public opinion or both. Sounds like fun!

I mean, it's not like she could provide documentation of her discussing the incident with a therapist years ago, oh wait, she did.

There have really only been a few tweets that sound like they were written by Trump himself since the whole Manafort plea deal. He's been awfully quiet lately.

Yesterday, "he" tweeted about the NY Giants,

Quote:
The New York Giants are looking really bad so far tonight. Does not get much worse than this!
causing me to respond "This is... bizarrely normal. WHAT DID YOU DO WITH DONALD TRUMP?!?"

Rules about deleting tweets or the so-called president telling people that Pravda Fox News is "mandatory" viewing?

I thought there were rules about deleting presidential "records" - of which his twitter account(s) were part of that record.

That definitely sounds like the Maroon in Chief. I'm guessing he was sitting watching Fox "News" this morning and that caught his fancy so he had to tap it out. "There stocks" sticks out like a small, orange thumb.

Not exactly. Gyrate and I are being facetious.

it's already making the meme rounds on FB - one I saw "why is it only liberals/democrats wait 40 years to report these things" (or something to that affect).

Trump today tweeted out a video thanking first responders and emergency services workers who have been helping people during Hurricane Florence. During his little speech, he delivered this gem:

In other news, the shower I took this morning was, from the standpoint of water, one of the wettest I've ever had.

What's perhaps most amazing about this is that the video was clearly pre-recorded, and no-one thought to suggest that maybe they could do a second take in which water as a condition of wetness was taken for granted.

Incoming forms for Spanish army recruits used to have a question:
valor?
to which the standard answer was
assumed.

All this time I thought wetness in water was assumed, like valor in soldiers. Guess it's not!

Trump is used to pissing on our heads and telling us it's raining, so maybe that's why he felt the qualification was needed. Trump's been one of the wettest hurricanes on record from the standpoint of piss.

Never, unless the name is added to the rotation. Don is one of the current 'D' storm names, but it's not due to be used again until 2023, since it was used last year (6 year rotation).

I suppose somebody could lobby to add Donald to the list, but that sick prevert would probably get a kick out of having something so powerful named for him.

Nah, you have it wrong. For example, from the standpoint of abyssal fish this hurricane is all too bubbly and oxygeny and shit.

And on video! For god only knows what reason, he apparently thinks the world wants to see and hear him speak the nuggets of wisdom that were previously entrusted to writing. I guess it masks his spelling errors...but he doesn't sound any less stupid.

But, yes, the polls also reveal about how many America-hating vonfuckstick-supporters there are. Disturbingly, 538's aggregate report currently shows 5.1% indifference, which I tend to count among the America-hating fuckedsticks.

I think I know what he was getting at. The hurricane rating scale goes from category 1 to category 5, but it's based on wind speed only. Florence was downgraded to category 1 as it approached land, which might have encouraged some people to believe it wouldn't be a serious storm. But it also had a lot of rainfall, and was not very fast moving, so there would be prolonged rain in certain areas. So, even though this was "only" a category 1 storm, the rainfall made it more serious and destructive than a typical category 1 storm.

Trump found a uniquely inelegant way to express that idea, but there was something to it.

That's not really the point. Trump may have been accurate in describing the size of the hurricane. It was the fact that he decided that he needed to explain that the concept of wetness involved water that was embarrassing.

Its the kind of thing someone who thinks they are smart and want to appear smart say - especially when they are trying to sell something about it. (like how HIS administration and HIS people at HIS direction did such a wonderful job)

Look at it this way. Trump was told something, by someone more knowledgeable on the subject than he was, and Trump tried to remember the information and pass it on to people who needed to know it. You can't expect someone to get a difficult job like that right the very first time he does it.

Neither, he was quoting someone else and added it in his next tweet: "...The thing that’s lacking is we can’t properly secure the Border because of the Democrats historic level of Obstruction.” Senator David Perdue of Georgia."

His next next tweet was to complain about no Wall money in the Spending Bill.

It's worse than you're even thinking. He's talking about why Dr. Ford didn't call the FBI at the time she was assaulted by Kavanaugh. That's what he thinks is a devastating counter-attack.

The ironic part is that he tweeted that exactly one minute after Kellyane Conway told MSNBC that Trump wouldn't attack Ford because "he does the right thing".

When are people going to learn. If you want thump to do something, tell him the opposite. Likewise if you want him NOT to do something.

"Mr. President <gag>, you must NOT support Ford! You must publicly call her a liar! You must attack her character and do it promptly! Everything depends on this! You MUST do what I say!"
