Amazon Fresh is delivering my $50 worth of groceries from the complete opposite side of the DFW area

First time trying this.

That seems as bit excessive. Do these guys deliver in refrigerated trucks?

Glad I didn't order ice cream.

Just curious, in what area do you live and where did it come from? Do they start at a warehouse or a Whole Foods?

I am speaking as someone that is both very experienced in the DFW area and consumer logistics. That is insane from their perspective but it shouldn't be a problem for you at all. The FDA inspects food delivery trucks like crazy to make sure they are appropriately temperature controlled.

Let Amazon deal with it and complain if anything is spoiled. They have tons of money to blow on delivery experiments so just take advantage of it while it lasts. Let's put it this way, the food that you ordered has probably traveled more collectively than you ever will in your lifetime.

When I started tracking the delivery, the guy was in Fort Worth. I live in north Dallas. In rush hour traffic, that's gotta be at least a two hour drive.

I thought the food was going to come from the nearest Whole Foods.

Anyway, I guess they do have refrigerated trucks because when I got the groceries, they were still cold. Although they did drop it off on my doorstep with out knocking to let me know it's there.
