With their Con scores, how much beer would it take to get them this snozzered? I'm thinking maybe Andre the Giant levels of drinking, or at least Bukowski.

Per Google, "Cervisia", though I've seen Cerevisia. No idea how it should be conjugated.

It's dwarven beer. Doesn't take as much as you'd think.

That is some big-ass foreshadowing right there. I hope Roy hadn't actually completely tuned out listening to Belkar; doing some shopping for useful magical items could pay off big for him in the final showdown with Xykon. And yeah, I was expecting that was a lead up to Roy's blurting out the death prophecy. It feels wrong not to clue Belkar in on that before his end.

Wouldn't it be "in cervisiam veritas"? Accusative case?

I like the way Mr Scruffy gives them the eye half way through. "Why you being all shouty? Interrupting my quality sleep time" *continues napping*

I thought so, but try googling that phrase and you'll only get a couple hundred hits. You'd figure if it were correct, it'd get tens of thousands at least. I also found out that in can take the ablative case depending on meaning, something I didn't know since I had remembered from Latin class way too many years ago that it took the accusative.

I did not think about bumping making people think there was an update. "At times there are ramifications for the negative that can happen when you are not thinking about others and only thinking about yourself."

Sorry about that!

In + accusative means "Into". Belkar and Roy are fairly drunk but they're not swimming about in a vat of the stuff.

In + ablative means "In" in the sense that's wanted here.

No worries. I think we've all done it; I know I have. I'm sure I'll do it again, when I see something in their forums I don't think we've covered.

Used to not be a problem when Burlew actually updated the strip. For some wistfulness, go to the OOTS wiki, and check out the publication dates for strips in, say, War and XPs, and compare it to this book's.

Well that puts paid to any speculation that the fiends were working toward Hel's plan. Apparently there's an entirely different Earth-shattering kaboom being planned.

Wasn't Sabine off working against Tarquin when we last saw her?

Probably just Random Unnamed Shnook #371. Someone we've never met, know nothing about, whose only function is to die.

I will however predict what he is a vessel for.

SPOILER:
The resurrection of Nale

That would be a neat trick. How do you think Burlew plans on pulling that off, given True Rez isn't a thing? Some sort of soul trapping or Magic Jar type possession? Being able to do that would get Sabine to willingly do anything the Directors had in mind.

Like many at the GITP forums, I too like the way the new art style changed up the look of Hell and the Directors.

Still no end black border for the book. How many more strips do we think it'll take before that happens? He doesn't have that much more time before Xmas, given printing, etc...

Crystal came back in a unique form, and Nale's soul would certainly have ended up in Lee's inbox. It could happen.

One big one, or maybe two if he has yet another dramatic cliffhanger to drop.

And then nothing until January at the earliest, I'm guessing.

Especially when it was tied off so neatly and appropriately.

Though, Sabine's wrath at Nale's death? Yeah, that thread could still have some more development. And probably will, if she shows up again, which this episode makes look extremely likely.

I'm laughing at myself, being so repetitive with my comments about the comic. I'm expecting too much from each new installment.

Damn, he's slow though.

Durkons mom has some serious survivors guilt. She's turned her missing arm into a badge of mourning and doesn't want to give it up.

Okay, I wasn't expecting quite so many domestic scenes at the end of the chapter. Surely the next strip will be the end of the book.

But drunk Roy is fun.

There wasn't much to that strip. I feel like Rich owes us one more reveal in the book -- perhaps Curly down the hold, communing with Hel: "They suspect nothing, my Goddess". More seriously, I suspect the book closes with something ominous observed by O-chul and Lien at the NP.

Note the captain said a TRIPLE negative. Which, logically, is the same as a single negative.

Yeah, me too. Shouldn't this thing be done already, and in the printer's hands if he wants these books available for sale for before-XMAS delivery? He's already blown past having them available for Black Friday, unless he's done already, and is dribbling out free content. I've expected the ending for about three strips now.

Any later significance to Bandanna not knowing/caring how the engines work? Or is this Burlew trying to de-Mary Sue the character, as well as show her skills in delegation and administration? EDIT: I.E., a good captain shouldn't necessarily know every detail about how every system works, but should know enough to choose the right expert for the job, enough to ensure the expert is working diligently at the task, and knows to not unduly second-guess the expert once the task has been delegated?

I assumed that Bandana was making the point that Andi, post-mutiny, was still part of the crew as well as giving Andi the ego-rub of having some sort of authority on the ship.

Shamelessly stolen from their forums.

I've written before that I feel Bandana is supposed to serve as a counterpoint to Roy in the story. So her continuing to work with Andi is the equivalent of how Roy continues to work with Belkar.
