It worked for Ron Paul, but correct my failing memory because I can't recall a Ron Paul administration.

Right: Yang, like Paul, will not win the Presidency, but Yang, like Paul, will find a way to still profit from his few but ardent supporters.

It gets even more interesting. I hear from a good source that Eric Holder has been consulting strategists about possibly jumping into the Dem presidential race. NYT reports Michael Bloomberg is seriously considering a late entry as well.

More Democratic candidates doesn't really matter. They probably won't catch on or get more than a few percent in the early states, and so they'll drop out. There's a good chance they won't even make any of the remaining debates. And if they do, it means they're catching on and have a good message, which is a good thing for the contest.

EDIT: Eric Holder could be a boon for non-Biden candidates, as he could take a significant chunk of Biden's supporters.

Bloomberg, while he's fine for NYC, is still seen by many Democrats as a carpetbagger and Holder is an absolute charisma-free zone. I mean, he makes Mondale looks peppy by comparison.

I'd rather continue the winnowing process than add more distractions to the mix.

I have doubts that either candidate will move beyond the rumor stage, but I really don't understand how Holder would possibly get in at this stage. Michael Bloomberg has tens of billions of dollars to blow on this, he could hire people to knock on every door in Iowa and still have money left over to buy a small country. But Eric Holder would be starting from close to zero.

I think Susan Rice would be a good candidate.
