No thanks, I'll sing. I often do it anyway.

Kasparov in bball would make for a slightly better story.

would you rather read a book about Norse mythology or eat a really good pastrami on rye?

Depends -- will there be a quiz on the pastrami and rye?

Would you rather be descended from ancestors from a boring place like England, or someplace exotic like Iceland or Lithuania or Macedonia?

Poison. I hate pain and the sight of blood. And there's a chance I'll puke up the poison.

Live totally inside for the rest of your with all your needs provided for, or live as a homeless person for one year and then receive ten million dollars?

I'll be homeless for a year. Even though a million isn't what it used to be . . .

You've been given a million dollars, which you must spend in six weeks. Would you rather be forced to spend it on yourself, with the caveat that it can provide no long term value or benefits; or spend it on others, with the caveat that all of it must provide long-term value (except to you, no buying a house for your spouse. . .).

Hookers & blow galore or build an orphanage.....that's a toughie. Give me a minute, I'm thinking here.

Okay, I guess I'll go the hoo...erm, build the orphanage.

Would you rather have a large crater on the moon (visible to the naked eye) named after you or receive a non-stick frying pan that would last 12 years before needing to be replaced?

Large crater on the moon. The store I work at sells non-stick pans.

Find a person with whom you could have mind-blowing sex, but nothing else, for six months, or a dull sexual partner you could have fun with for the rest of your life.

Either of those is better than what I've got goin' on now, but I'd give the edge to fun for life.

Would you rather live in a teeny tiny house that you can't really afford that's walking distance to work OR a larger house that you can afford but spend 2 hours every day in commuter traffic with the worst morons and assholes you can imagine?

Be required to shoot off 10 minutes of fireworks every night before bed or slam every door you walk through?

Slamming every door gets rid of frustration. Fireworks are illegal and dangerous.

Well, one doesn't exist but is probably still alive in his fictional version of 2016, while the other is real but already dead. That aside, Dr. Lecter is a far more interesting person, so if he was in a very secure prison and I was in no personal danger, I guess I'd pick him.

I'm very highbrow and don't mind opera, but you'd have to put a gun to my head to get me to watch five minutes of "rassin'"

Sit and watch every London performance of Phantom of the Opera (almost 30 years worth), or get to see it live on stage once with the cast of your choice?

Jesus, is Trump available instead? I'd go with Hitler, because I think he might be able to be civil throughout dinner, whereas Hussein seems batcrap crazy. I'd have to listen to Hitler's crazy political ideas, but I already listen to my coworker's crazy political ideas every day at lunch, so I know I can get through it.

President of the US sounds like nightmare without end. Prince of Liechtenstein, OTOH sounds like a great figurehead gig.

Would you rather have telepathic abilities at the expense of losing your hearing or be able to automatically adjust the room temperature at will no matter where you are plus or minus 5 degrees at the expense of losing your sense of taste?

I think the market for the tax returns would be more remunerative. And if the e-mails really turned out to be personal, I'd feel guilty selling them at all.

Is take poison an option?

I'm not sure I understand? work 50 hour weeks, 52 weeks a year, or 70 hour weeks for six weeks, and not work the rest of the year? for the same money? The second, but neither makes me very happy. Most places expect 40 hour weeks, and give you two weeks a year. Some give you four, because they give you two solid weeks vacation, plus federal holidays, paid sick days, and personal days, and it adds up to four weeks.

ETA: be Jewish, or a Black/Hispanic in the US today?

Get drunk. I know how I am drunk.

Be addicted to a prescription "medication" that has bad side effects but makes you feel good or be stone cold sober and feel not-so-good.

Two week vacation in the mountains with no people is my idea of heaven.

Eat only one meal a day and get $100 a day free, or eat six big meals a day and live free for life.

I actually meant 40 the rest of the year. Because this is my six weeks . . .

One meal a day and $100. Because six big meals a day would immobilize me eventually.

Here again, I do not mind not talking to people. And I would love to be rich.

Be on a reality TV show where the last person not to use their hand held wins a million dollars (I so want to see this), or always wear a clown suit for a year and try to lure children into the woods and then win ten million dollars?

Be too cold. It's easier to warm oneself up than cool oneself down. And I think cold-weather clothing is more stylish (not sure if you mean externally cold, or if I'm always going to be cold no matter what I do.)

Would you rather have the power to make good things happen to 50 good people of your choice, or bad things happen to 10,000 bad people of your choice?

While the thought of calling in a Divine Smite on 10,000 ISIS is tempting, I guess I'll opt for the high road and go with help 50 people of my choice out. The first option would not likely result in any lasting improvement to humanity's condition but paying it forward to a much smaller number might have some real positive effect down the road.

Would you rather choose fortune or fame?
