What's your Ringtone?

Instead of reviving a thread, I thought I'd ask anew:
What is your ringtone?
Do you set different ringtones for specific callers, or does everyone get the same one?

For most callers, I have the theme from Syfy's Eureka.
Mr. Celtic Knot actually composed a song we play, so I recorded it and that's his ringtone.
I don't get a lot of calls anymore, so the years I anticipated buying a phone that could use Eureka seem wasted....

I wouldn't be able to figure out how to make multiple ones. Damn lucky to get just the one!

Don't even bother with voice-mail and I don't text.

"Strings," apparently, an Android pre-canned ring, for everyone. I hardly ever get calls.

I don't know how to download anything fancy-schmancy.

I'm sure I could figure it out, if I cared.

If the call is from home or the wife's cell, it's a song titled with her name.

If it's one of my debaters or school, it's "Through the Fire and Flames" by Dragonforce.

Other coaches ring with "Toussaint L'Overture" by Santana.

Everyone else gets "Girls in Their Summer Clothes" by Bruce Springsteen.

Every call I get rings in with the theme song from Magnum, P.I., one of the top five television theme songs ever.

I have a BlackBerry and my basic ringtone is the generic iPhone ringtone (hehe).

I have multiple different ringtones and text message indicators for the dozen or so people who contact me most frequently. I have a special tone for when my credit card is charged $50 or more, even if I make the charge. I love fine-tuning my techie toys.

This thread reminds me that I ought to look for some more good ones. But right now, for text message notification sounds from various people, I have
the opening chord to The Beatles' "A Hard Day's Night"
the opening saxophone blast from Madness's "Night Boat To Cairo"
the "doo-dooo doo-doo-doo" from the Muppets' "Mahna Mahna"

For actual ringtones, I've used the instrumental introductions to the Daniel Amos songs "The Double" and "Mall All Over The World" as distinctive and something I'm not likely to hear unless my phone is playing them.

for certain coworkers, I have specific ringtones that seem to fit their personality (or position) perfectly
The grumpy warehouse manager; Darth Vader "Don't make me destroy you"
The short statured, do anything, no quit, big balls dispatcher; Yoda "Do or do not, there is no try"
VP of Operations (my boss) and co-owner of the company; Star Wars' "Imperial March"
So on and so on...most of my coworkers though all ring in on the same one of the stock tones that came on the phone.
Messages Star Trek TNG Computer "Incoming Message"
Certain work contacts from other companies I communicate with frequently have there own ringer from the list of stock tones that came with the phone.
Family all have the classic "Bell Phone" ringtone
If a caller is not on my contacts list it is Lt. Worf "We are being hailed sir"

Don't remember. When I got this phone two years ago, I hit a number of sites looking for ringtones.
You'll have to Google it and hope it's till out there.

I used to have as my non-specific ringtone the first 6 notes of Hot Chocolate's You Sexy Thing. It drove my co-workers nuts.

Text notification used to be The Jetson's theme but then the one maintenance man had the very same one and he was always in our office. Had to change it.

My husband's work cell is an alarm with a robotic "Warning! Warning! Your husband is trying to reach you! Warning! Warning!

My husband's personal cell: Your husband is calling. Press one to tell him you still love him. Press two to show him how much you care. Press three. . . I don't remember what 3 is because I usually pick up before then.

used to have a recording of my wife saying "smile, it'll make yer butt tingle" for a ringtone, sigh, lost it in a phone transfer to a new phone some years ago and she's never been willing to make a new recording for me.

The default is the loud, classic telephone ring. My mother's is one I made from Trevor Nunn's production of Macbeth, Judi Dench screaming.

Previously the Lost in in Space theme.

Message tone is a Star Trek communicator chirp.

All else defaults.

Iím ready to fight everyone in this thread. No phone sounds, ever. No one wants to hear your ringtones or notifications. Silent, or vibrate, if you must, but no cutesy ringtones or alerts.

If you absolutely must hear your phone for some reason (you donít) then a plain phone ring, on low. LOW.

I just now changed mine to a recording of a man stuttering and wheezing in a very high falsetto "Tip Toe thru the Tulips" at maximum volume.

How does a person who rarely wears pants supposed to know if their phone is ringing if it doesn't make noise?

I have specific ringtones for SWMBO and a few others. But my primary ringtone is based on my occupation as a Taekwondo instructor. When I'm not in the school, we forward the phone to my cell phone, which of course rings with Mortal Kombat.

Cutesy? You haven't seen Judy Dench's performance of Lady Macbeth.

You don't work in a loud and distracting environment where you might not notice a phone vibrating, or it might be in a jacket pocket a few feet over there, do you? You also don't have work that causes you to prioritize incoming calls based on who is calling and whether those calls can be ignored for a bit or should be answered right away?

ETA if I miss a call and the caller leaves a voice mail, I hear Darth Vader telling me that it is pointless to resist

"Pictures of A City" from King Crimson's In the Wake of Poseidon for my wife.

Various appropriate songs and themes based on other callers and what I think of them. I almost broke up with one lady I was dating when she figured out that her ringtone was "No Action" from Elvis Costello's This Years Model.

My generic ringtone is "Borrowed Love" by Chris Duarte.

Simmer down, buddy. I live by myself. When I'm out in public, I silence my ringer, but I can still hear when the phone rings through a bluetooth device that connects my hearing aids. That okay with you?

My default ringtone is the opening riff of Wilco's "Casino Queen". I used to have a specific one for my wife, a clip from Fleetwood Mac's "Talk To Me Baby", but that was on my old phone and I never got it set up on my current phone.

My phone's default ringtone (is that what you meant by "your ringtone"?) is currently one I made from The Heavy's How You Like Me Now. People I get calls from with some frequency all get a custom ringtone, usually one that I make specifically for that person. I have 102 active custom ringtones in my phone at the moment.

I also make custom text tones for people, and no, it isn't acceptable to use the same tone for both.

Oh, and I set vibration patterns for people too, so even on silent I can tell who's calling.

Vibrate. I’m just afraid I’ll forget to turn off the ringtone in an inappropriate setting, so I just leave it on vibrate always. Before that, it was just the default.

I usually have my phone on vibrate, as well, though I'm on my headset often enough that I hear the ringtones.

My general ringtone is the Marvel Studios Fanfare. Certain people have specific ringtones assigned: my wife has a clip from Pirates of the Caribbean, my father has the Monday Night Football theme, my friend Suzanne has Leonard Cohen's "Suzanne," and my sister has ELO's "Mr. Blue Sky" (an inside joke, because she hates that song).
