The new washing machine is installed and clothing are washed and in the dryer. Cat's are on the top of dryer enjoying themselves a purr-y-fied nap.

When the nephrologist went a hunting with me, she went into a toss-it-on-the-wall mode.

14 tubes of blood later, even the vampires were impressed.

I'm anxious to get home. So probably no corndogs today. I haz a sad face

Thank you, dork.
Badboy Bear had his evening snack, altho' the time of day was not right in his genius cat brain. He fussed for a minute and I gave him a look. You know the parental look that you threw at your kid when they needed to say thank-you even if the gift Great Aunt Martha brought was stupid underwear. Surprise! It worked.
He's on the cat tree sleeping on his head. Meeko is curled up like a cinnamon roll on a pillow. Peaceful household tonight.

My family's version of that was the yearly present from my grandmother, who was in the home--we each got a handkerchief in a TP roll, all wrapped up.

Next year, it appeared again. Lather, rinse, repeat. Yes, the same one.

I was sitting crossed legged on the floor. (Indian style). Tying together feathers for Grandwreks kindergarten class and Mr. Bear needed to come check out the bright colored feathers. He sniffed and disapproved.
He sat on my left knee. I absentmindedly started boucing my knees to a catchy song that came on (Freddy Mercury~the Great Pretender).
I looked at Bear riding my knee. He was smiling, I swear. His head bobbing as my knee bounced. Meeko who was in front of me, thinking of a way to grab a feather, stood up, & looked at Bear. Her tail flew up with a kink in it. Peeps who know Siamese cats knows the tail-kink bodes ill. Bear hopped off my knee and ran to give his sister a walk-by kitty hug. They went in the kitchen. Any minute now and they'll be howling for snacks.

It was the SAME hankie!

About year 3, it got to be the family joke--those 8 wrapped tubes under the tree...

Oh! Not a full roll of TP, just the cardboard tube. With a hankie in it. That's very strange.

My granny gave preserves to EVERYONE age 1 to age 90. She wasn't gonna shop.
Man, I wish I had a jar of her pear preserves, right now.

I agree. He's had the stink eye since the Grandwreks and DIL left. He's really liking the girls of late. Meeko not so much. She'll come down and sit a respectful distance away. Tonight she kept meowing at Bear when he was doing his trick-act for the kids. They were tickled at her. I do believe my Snooty Siamese cats may becoming used to the kids.
Amazing.

The Siamese are actually plotting and planning your return from thr hospital! No "Welcome Home Mommy!"

There will be puke in your slippers and intentional "misses" of the litter box. YOU know what I mean:all the scratching and digging, and then parking the business end OVER the rim of the box.

You will also be sniffed thoroughly by two cats with fat tails.

Get better, Beckers, and that's an order! Bleed freely for the nice phlebotomists and pee quarts and quarts on demand!

My tablet and phone and all accoutrements will be with me. I feel a BIG bad bad bad thread in the making.
Me and DIL have decided the Grandwreks will be cat caretakers and she will be dogwalker. I hoping only one night will be enough to get all testing taken care of. Fingers crossed.
I laughed and laughed. I told Mr.Wrekker he needs spend the night in the house instead of the camp while I'm away. He said word for word "Those cats scare me to death, do you reckon they'll come in the bedroom?"
They won't. They don't like him either.
Big, bad hunter is scared of a pair of skinny Siamese cats. So hilarious.

He is competitive. No matter. I have milked all the joy I can out his fear of the cats. It's just so funny.
I'm trying to figure out how I can get bad Mr. Bear to do a trick and really scare him when he's in the house alone, with the cats. Too bad cats don't have remote controls. That could be fun.
Bear and Meeko are glued to me this morning. I'm not allowed to breathe deep or adjust my position w/o protests from the peanut gallery. My whole life is reduced to that of a heating pad.

Yeah..umm..that purring may be overrated. Two loudly buzzing fur balls attached to me by velcro is somewhat disconcerting. Kinda like a suicide vest. I'm waiting on the explosion.

Ahhh, the purr.

That is the characteristic of cats which elevates them far above other domesticated animals.

For, you see, I am addicted to the purr.

~VOW, you need a new Siamese or 2. Maybe Santa Claus will curse...erm..bless you with a pair.

ETA, I'm laying on my stomach and they are both on my back. Purring! It's like a massage from hell. If I move or breathe too deep 40 claws go into my skin. Aaaaack!

Bekkers,

The VOW universe cannot expand to accommodate 2 more katz. Traveling back and forth between SCal and AZ with ONE is already a chore. And that reminds me: gotta have Mr VOW call the vet and get more kitty tranqs!

The poor, idiot cat I have now is truly not very bright. The one thing he DOES know how to do is purr!

I've got so many scratches and kneading holes from my cats. When I go to the hospital and they see it they're gonna think bad things. Like, maybe I'm cutting/poking myself. How'm I gonna explain that? "Ummm?.. yes Nurse-lady, It's my 2 evil Siamese cats who are abusing me."... I see social workers and psychologists visiting my Hospital room. Little notebooks in hand.

Well, you could explain that you are the handmaid and Lady in Waiting for possessedRoyalty

From that website

It was believed that when a member of the royal family died, the Siamese would then receive the deceased soul. The cat would be moved to a temple with servants, spending the rest of its life in pure luxury

I made the Siameezers 3rd birthday cake out of liver treats, tiny shrimps and kitty pate'. They hated it.
I knew better than to put candles or sparklers on it. But I did light a number 3 candle on the table. That's all they cared about. I had to put it away. I had gifts, catnip and everything. Even balloons.
Nope. They roamed around looking for the candle.
Never, exactly NEVER have I one-upped these 2.
I've recently decided it's not worth it. I gave up.

When I got home from the Clinic the Siameezers were alarmed. Hackles up, tails high and kinked. I looked and looked and found the offending thing.
A huge, I mean big, (6in) centipede in the laundry room. Gah!!
I put a heavy bowl over it. Someone else is gonna deal with it. Door's shut. Cat's are now unhappy. They can't get to the dryer top beds. I moved the cat tree back to the original location. That's stopped the yowling for now.

Centipede-giganticus is now dead and disposed of. TY. Ick!
The big Wrek showed up, got rid of the monster. Had a shower and his 5:30 Jack and one cube of ice. He gave me some insurance crap I gotta fill out. Crap, crap, crap! But it's done.
He's back at the Deer Camp. Modern gun season opens this weekend. They have a big crowd, I hear. I ain't poking my head out no more than I have to, for the duration.
Kitties are on their beloved dryer beds. Dogs are sleeping on big Wreks chair. For once I'm empty lapped. Kinda nice.

What does he use in modern season? I'd much rather face an angry deer with an M-1 than an AR-15.

And where Beck lives perhaps reinforce the doors and shutters.
I bet when ya look out Beck's windows you see a bunch of big rocks at various intervals with numbers painted on them facing the house.

I asked him today why they scared him. He said "Have you looked at them? Really looked at them?" This man who killed all those snakes. Killed bear. Bobcat. Many, many deer and other antlered things. Feral hogs.
And he's scared of kitties. Can't wrap my head around it.

Again, I gotta side with Hubby on this one. Have you, in fact, looked at many (most?) Pure siamese cats? They're pretty goofy looking...loong skinny round head big ears and the mask makes them look flat faced even though they're not

Why yes as a matter of fact I am completely indifferent to The Eye of Bast, my House is historically connected to Bau why do you ask?
