Was Kevin supposed to say "naked" and/or "desire", but failed to?

How did his naked desire embarrass Kevin?

Is Kevin an American?
Canadian?
An entrepreneur?
Is it relevant whether Kevin has hair?

Yeah, I noticed that when I looked it up on Wikipedia. OTOH, remember this was passed down as oral history for a few hundred years, so there's plenty of opportunity for someone to polish up his language and make it nice and grammatical, and to fit the terms of the OP he just has to have the word 'Nike' somewhere in what he said before he keeled over. So I defend the question-giver! (also, it was fun )

Not participating at the moment because I did the same dumb thing as Folly before I saw his post. See you all in ... umm... an amount of time

I dunno, if I'm exhausted to death and panting out one last word before I collapse, I'm going to make it two syllables, not five.

I'm trying to put together everything and my Q from doing that is:

Did Kevin lose a bunch of money because of the phrase "naked desire"?

But, he neither said that nor was he supposed to. Nor did he say anything similar to it.

Did he mispronounce the phrase?

Okay, folks, this might be a key question. We've established that Kevin was speaking to an audience of people he didn't know very well, but he wasn't an entertainer or a politician. Who else might speak to an audience? Post any suggestions.

Was it some sort of public service announcement?

Was it the speech delivered to a live audience? On TV? On radio? In a movie?

Was Kevin giving a speech?

Was listening to Kevin speak the reason for the audience's presence?

If that's yes and no, respectively, then I think he might have been a graduation speaker. Though that still doesn't say why he was there, or what the embarrassment was.

But, he neither said that nor was he supposed to. Nor did he say anything similar to it. Yes, that is correct. He neither said "naked desire" nor was he supposed to. He said nothing similar.

Did he mispronounce the phrase? No

I think I have an idea.

Was "naked desire" supposed to be "named desire"?

If so, I think the solution is pretty clear. I still don't get it. If the dude said "Streetcar NAKED desire", then he said the phrase but was not supposed to....which we were told he didn't.

My guess, which has to be wrong based on our info(he didn't say it or wrongly say it) is:

Did Kevin say "Street Car Naked Desire" instead of "Street Car Named Desire"?

I think that's almost it. I think he didn't actually say "Naked Desire", but he implied it, by asking for a K.

I don't want to step on your toes, but I remembered a puzzle from years ago. You'll have to ask questions, but I hope it'll be fun.

"The music stopped, and she died."

I wonder if you guys can solve this in twenty questions or less. You can Google this one, but I hope you guys will avoid doing that and give this an honest attempt.

Here's a new one.

You think you know where this dance happened. You're wrong. It actually took place in a nearby location. Where was it?

Does "dance" mean a person or group of people dancing?

Does it mean a party or other specific event where dancing is expected to occur?

Does it mean a type of dance, like the waltz or the tango?

Does it mean a metaphorical "dance," like "the dance of diplomacy" or something like that?

Is the "dance" a well-known event?

Did it happen in the real world?

In a fictional work?

So I'm thinking of West Side story while standing in Hollywood, and thinking the dance happened near Lincoln Square, but it actually took place on The Lot.

Or some other dance from a movie or music video was shot near where I am now, but I'm thinking it took place somewhere else.

The amusing part was he had:

A STREETCAR NA_ED DESIRE

He spun and asked for a "K"

That's kind of embarrassing.

Was the dance something that happened regularly within a period of time?
If so, is it still happening?
Did it happen in the 20th century?
Did it happen before the 20th century?

Was the 'nearby location' a specific location with a proper name (eg, like a city name)?
Was it a generic location type (eg church, town hall, fields)

Does the dance traditionally involve both genders?
Are the dancers traditionally paired off in couples?
Is the dance associated with a particular time of year?
