I have not seen his, or anyone else's, ads. I didn't even know he was running until a few weeks ago.

"I could care less" just stop that, stop it now, how hard is it to say another syllable that makes the phrase actually mean what you intend?

Probably about as hard as checking what the thread is about.

I'd be very surprised.

Meanwhile some folks may like to get back to riffing off the thread title as the joke has been made and the thread is not in Elections, Some, like you may get pissed off. I couldn't care less.

The part you seem to have missed was that nobody else construed riffing off the thread title as yet another thread about pet peeves.

well I see and hear it an awful lot, seemingly out of proportion. Perhaps that is because it grates but do you believe the other examples more commonly used? My apologies for adding commentary to my contribution oh high hall monitor sir and hope to meet your approval in the future.

Should I apologize for adding commentary about your commentary?

given that commentary was as clear as custard, perhaps.

Anyway, you have done a much greater job than I of changing the direction of the thread Oh Great One, kudos. I'm done here, I cannot possibly rise to your heights.

I do know who it is, as the attention I usually pay to politics is absolutely zero, but one ad is CONSTANTLY playing on Hulu, and it's gotten equal parts cringy and laughable.

The ad starts with saying how little of congress is represented by women. Okay, I'm with you so far. It goes on to say how of that amount, black women are a tiny, little percentage. Okay, I got it. Sure, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing more black women in- ohhhhh, nope, the ad is for a white dude Like, I get the sentiment, but maybe preaching how important it is to have more women, particularly black women, in Congress isn't the most effective approach for ya, dude.

I bust out laughing every time I see that ad. Although admittedly I've been watching The Blacklist on Netflix, so I haven't been on Hulu so much as of late.

Same here, I haven't seen a single political ad (I'm in Virginia). I had to read down the thread to even figure out what the OP was talking about.

How much TV do you watch? Could be Bloomberg is skipping VA for now.

The old joke was:

Q: What are the first words of English a Latino kid learns in California?
A: "Attention, K-Mart shoppers!"

Then the hot phrase was, "You bet your fur!" to which the reply is, "I never bet my fur!"

Hot phrases now? I dunno, don't watch TV or inhabit (anti)social media, can't hear my grandkids' squeaky voices, so what I mostly hear is, "The doctor will see you now."
