Teaching English online to people overseas?

Anyone teach English online? A friend is looking into it. What's it like? I think you can teach kids or adults but mostly kids.

I teach in Saudi Arabia. I will retire next month and am looking into this. I asked around at the office. People claim that it works like this:

1) Company get Asian family to pay for tutoring
2) You tutor online. You are paid by the hour.
3) At some point the kid loses interest. They stop paying you.
4) Company keep the entire fee paid by the family.

My friend does it and says it works out well for him. It really depends on the company you work with.
