He was suspended by the league for 6 games, later reduced to 4, for violating the league's personal conduct policy.

I would think this is causing a lot of the additional issues. I'm sure there were problems before this, but this hit increased the frequency and severity of them.

What is amusing about his tweet is that AbusingB****84 has been reneging on contracts and not paying his bills for years. Will he finally pay up?

Last week a personal trainer sued the flamboyant former Pittsburgh Steeler in federal court in Florida, claiming that he raped her last year and accosted her in 2017 in Pittsburgh. In July a Florida chef sued him, claiming the wide receiver failed to pay him for a $38,500 bill after he cooked for Brown at a private event in Osceola County during the Pro Bowl weekend in 2018.

Earlier this month, Robert Leo of Ross, a former man Friday to Mr. Brown, sued his onetime boss in Allegheny County for nearly $17,000 in unreimbursed credit card expenditures he claims were made on the athlete’s behalf. And a Monroeville orthopedic surgeon and bodybuilder, Victor Prisk, also sued Mr. Brown here, accusing the wide receiver of stiffing him for $11,500 for services as a wellness coach at $500 an hour.

I'm not sure who's the bigger scammer: the millionaire athlete who doesn't pay his bills, or the "wellness coach" who charges $500 an hour.

The XFL said they have no interest either.

I like this story about Brown blocking a fake XFL Twitter account. Petty!

I have to imagine that Goodell is thrilled with the news.

Can he make it impossible for Brown to come back?

Indefinite suspensions are a thing in the NFL so he could, but right now he i don’t think he has to, and probably won’t while the league is investigating.

He can place AB on the Commissioner's Exempt list.

I don’t know if that applies here.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...er-exempt-list
The Exempt List applies to a team’s roster. Brown isn’t on a roster. It wouldn’t mean anything right now. If a team signed him, it could be used.

I believe he can be suspended by the league without being on a team though.

AB quitting from a job he doesn’t actually have. Again. New verb: Browning?

Well he just made the NFL’s job a whole hell of a lot easier.

Can their lawyers just say “no take backs”? Does that work in court?

Maybe, but Brown could come up with the killer counter-argument that he had his fingers crossed when he signed the agreement, so it doesn't count.

He un-quit (gain), presumably so he can quit again when it gets quiet on Twitter again.

Brown gives black people a bad name. You don't see white athletes imploding like this. Do they?

Well, if you count winning Rookie of the Year, then getting suspended 7 times, banned from the game for life (he got better) and dying in a meth fueled car crash "imploding" then yeah, white athletes implode sometimes.

I'm not giving you a name, because you should know the name very well already, since he was ON the 1996 Yankees.

Why doesn't Skip Bayless and the others talk about them as they do Brown?

Because they're idiots.

Why don't you make your own assessments of people's behavior, instead of looking to morons like Skip Bayless for advice on how to think?

Well Hernandez died of suicide in prison 2 1/2 years ago. Bruce Miller was released by the 49ers in 2016 due to his legal problems and hasn’t played in the league since. Meanwhile Brown is embroiled in a league investigation right now, played in uniform as recently as a couple of months ago, and is constantly in the news with the strange things he is saying and doing.

You might as well ask why people are talking about Trump and not Ronald Reagan. One is president now, the other was president decades ago and is also dead.

Where are you going with this or are you “just asking questions”?

I'm not kidding when I say that Brown might well end up murdering someone. He's a total basket case and needs to be sent to a psyche ward or something.

He was not sent to a psych ward but he was ordered to take a mental health evaluation as part of his bail.

When I heard Brown had locked himself in his house after the arrest warrant was issued, I was kind of hoping for another white Ford Bronco event.

Brown has been released, for now.

It's never a good look though when you're featured in a story wearing a "suicide smock".

In other news of NFL Good Citizens, Kareem Hunt was stopped for speeding and cops found a "small amount" of marijuana in his car. 2020 is barely here, the new Browns coach hasn't had time to settle in and the team's stars are already filling up the police blotter.

The free-agent wide receiver was picked up by his lawyer and ran to get into the car.
Anyone use a stopwatch on his run? How'd he do?
