It was part of a bundle for St. Patrick's day. Maybe it won't appear back in the store until after the current spy event is over?

You're right. No Duff Brewery or Duffman in the store at the moment.

I think I'm going to have a manhole on every street just to level up my crafting.

Not that they're not great, but I already have more than I want/need and I'm not done crafting yet. I also have more than I want/need of everything else. So... yay.

I kind of like adding the manholes but I've been resisting adding them everywhere. These spy crafting items are all kind of neat but it seems like they'll be kind of pointless after this series is over. I've also gotten through all of the crafting levels so I don't feel obligated to make more craftables for the event.

I'm also happy with the castle facade for HQ. Not that we don't have enough castles, but it's the best look for HQ in my setup.

Finally broke down and bought Disco Stu. He wouldn't have been worth buying, to me, but I had his Stonecutter uniform in my inventory forever, and finally decided to use it.

I am considering picking up Adil, because he's so adorable, but I've spent a fair amount of donuts on Hank Scorpio and the nerds already.

I got Adil, Femme Fatale, Knightboat and McBain because the latter two were a reduced price. I spent $20 on donuts earlier to throw a bit of appreciation to the developers and because it got me Jebediah Springfield.

Disco Stu is great. It's a shame that he doesn't have a 24-hour visual task. I wish more characters did, actually, because that's the only job time that I use.

I would guess not for a while, since they just came out and aren't a part of the last-minute sale.

Everyone cross your four yellow fingers to hope we get a slight break before the next event and that when it comes, it's actually fun and different.

Well it looks like the event is ending today. Did everybody get all the things? I got all the things but I had some time off work so I was able to play more than usual. The last few days I've just been collecting for bonuts.

I got all the things, this time with a day to spare!

I think buying the friends card really works out for me. I only have so many opportunities in the day to play, so getting the extra 500 or so whatevers from friends does make quite an impact. I was scrambling at the end of each act but I did get all the goodies!

And as soon as this last storyline ends, there's a new update with the Pin Pals.

Yeah, a mini-event through the 23rd. Prizes are pretty meh for part 1. I do like the Pin Pals skin for Homer and the bowling lane decoration.

I got all the things from the spy event, along with some bonuts... except Scorpio's black outfit. Not sure how I didn't end up with that. Cool that the drone scan is still working, and giving items for Heights and monorail.

For the PinPals event, I was offered a 90-donut "refund" if I purchased Barney's Bowlarama (total cost 160 donuts, instead of 250).
I had to buy some donuts... but now I have one of my favorite characters of the show.

"My name is Barney Gumble. I'm 40, I'm single, and I DRINK!"

So, what does maxing-out the Conform-o-meter do for you?
If I buy a few more restaurants and a boatload of trees/plants/etc., I can have 5 stars on the meter... just wondering if it's worth spending the money/donuts to get there.

Yeah try to max it out because it helps you get money faster as you conform better. And it's kind of a fun part of beginning the game - the struggle of conforming.

Don't spend donuts on it tho. Not worth it, unless it's for a character or something you really wanted. But not, like, on a tree or a sign.

Earnings multiplier. My tree hugging maxed out at some point, and I'm not sure why; I didn't buy hundreds of trees

It's a little misleading, I think. You build the bench and then nothing happens. Some people peeked in the files and something else happens in a few days, then a few later. Looks like an event next week.

Did a money sink event with Cecil Terwilliger come up for everyone? I saw the payouts briefly before it bugged, and now I can sent Cecil on tasks but not the event screen.

Yes!
I think that it flashed up something about Springfield heights, then it disappeared.
I do enjoy a mystery.

It's not Heights related. It's another long term expensive goal like Burn's money mountain.

Some of Cecil's tasks are now very expensive and progress can be can be seen as part of the 'Daily Challenges' button in the upper right. There should be a third tab labeled Road to Riches.

Thank you. I must have seen a flash about money and assumed Springfield heights. Between this and the dinosaurs, so much to do.
So much cool stuff to collect.

I don't think that the new Cecil trek is connected to the event at all other than it appeared at the same time. I'm guessing this is a Money Mountain or Giant Redwood type thing that will be around until you complete it.

Yes almost certainly. So there is likely no deadline; complete at your leisure.

Was there any special unlock message or quest if you didn't already have Cecil?

Not sure if there is a maximum shovel limit, but looks like it's okay to use them as soon as you get them and the excavation will remain.

You guys I spent 100 donuts on shovels at 2:30 am this morning, trying to get enough of those big gems to get the baby t-Rex.

It was worth it. So cute!

Also doing that many digs helped me get enough shells for Caveman Moe. So that's good.

I have been a horrible grinder so far

I barely got the caveman Moe and I played a lot in act 1. The drop rate is weird.

It's slightly better than the last couple events, but I'm bored and I want the wheel back at this point for variety.

I missed both Caveman Moe and the baby T-Rex. First time in a long time, maybe a year, I didn't finish. Now it wants 100 donuts for Moe and 80 for T-Rex. I'll pass. Not sure why I didn't finish. I didn't play any less than any other event.

I got TRex at least a week ago but didn't get Cave Moe. I think it was because I skipped visiting friends this time (if we are friends, I will start again!). I stopped because the payoff was negligible the last few events.

I will now say that Cecil almost certainly won't go away any time soon. I had tens and tens of millions of dollars and thought it would be sufficient. Nope.

I'm looking forward to it. I was playing Family guy but that is a huge time sink and I never finished an event because they make it so you have to play 24/7 or spend real world money to finish.

So if this will be on par with the Simpsons it'll be perfect for me.

The same thing happened to me. I am being a bit more lackadaisical than I have been in the past, but the prizes this time have not excited me.

I sideloaded the beta and played for awhile. It plays like the Family Guy game with an extra 'combat' element. It forced an upgrade on me, so I'm just waiting for the official version.

At least in the beta, nothing is timed, which is the main reason I stopped playing FG.
