The restricted word list in The BBQ Pit.

The restricted word list in The BBQ Pit:

After consultation with the moderators, I have decided to jettison The BBQ pit word list.

All other existing Pit rules still apply.

I was just going to ask you if you'd get rid of those ridiculous restrictions. Thank you.

Edit: Can you get rid of that sticky in the Pit with the restricted word list?

Can we replace it with a different restricted word list? I for one would like warnings to be given to anyone who says “bennies” or “brosef”.

What about pitting mods for mod actions? Are we allowed to do that? Or is too much all at once?

Of course, the really good ones were never on the list to begin with. Doesn't anyone tell people to go felch a dead goat any more?

Why bennies? What else can we near the Jersey Shore call the New Yorkers that descend upon our beaches every summer? Or does bennies mean something else to you?

Also, do people really say brosef and what does that mean?

Bro. Dude. Dude. Broheim, I think maybe you need to grab a smoothie and chill for a second. I'm not trying to harsh, but you kinda need to educate yourself a little, broski. I mean, you're my bro and all, broseidon, but...damn, bro.

Slang for job benefits, i.e. healthcare, vacation, 401(k). I don’t know why it rankles me, but it does.

And people from New Jersey have derogatory nicknames for people from other states? Huh.

Well only NY, I mean Massholes is common to most states in the North East. It isn't used often in NJ. But so you understand, it is not actually all New Yorkers but the ones that act like those portrayed on the Jersey Shore and the adult version of said. There is an actual wiki article on it if you like: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benny_(slang)

The term also include some visitors from North Jersey.

I choose to believe people are talking about prescription uppers. Would have made my job more interesting.

People so easily forget that TubaDiva, among other long-term personnel, were happy to get out from under AOL's nanny-state restrictions.

Yeah, good call

Actually, I was thinking of this, since "prehensile" is a word that tends to be overused in association with giraffes.
