most beautiful woman in rock/country/pop history

Until tonight there were only two choices for me. Oh BTW they must have talent. Emmylou Harris and Linda Rondstadt. Then I watched a video of Mazzy Star, Fade Into You. Didn't know them when they first put out albums, heard them years later but never saw a video. Hope Sandoval is now nominated.

I would nominate Dolly Parton in her younger days, without the excessive makeup. Jennifer Lopez. Probably so many more who recorded in this century. I am old, 57, haven't kept up with all the latest music. I hear Beyonce is pretty hot

I'll add Jewel, but only because of her duet with Merle Haggard on Silver Wings.

I agree, but you should have inked to a picture of her with her 80's perm.

The apocalypse has truly arrived if it takes five posts before someone mentions Debby Harry.

You have a type.

I also have a type, but I wouldn't class those women as the most beautiful, I just like 'em. Not gonna list them here and confuse the issue.

Instead, as far as beauty goes, I'd include:
  • Olivia Newton John
  • Taylor Swift
  • Nancy Sinatra
  • Britney Spears
  • Michelle Phillips
  • Alizée
In their heydey at least.

Linda Ronstadt, Britney Spears, Joan Jett, Taylor Swift, and Lady Gaga would probably be my top five.

If you let the Pageant Industry define marketable beauty, all you need to do is match the woman against the template.

In the other world, all women are beautiful, and just have to smile and let it out.

Among those mentioned so far, I'd probably go with Marylin McCoo.

I'm pretty sure we'll all have our own definitions of "beautiful" but certainly the pre-teen version of me was knocked out by the overall package of Debbie Harry, stunning look, great performer....... a fascinating and attractive woman regardless of any indivuduals concept of "beauty"

Shakira is a stunningly beautiful woman. Katy Perry is also remarkably beautiful even by the standards of pop stars.

I’d choose Marylin McCoo, also. Honorable mention to Gracie Slick and Joan Jett.

The queen/angel of them all: Emmylou Harris.

I also endorse Debbie Harry and Susanna Hoffs. My own contributions are Natalie Imbruglia, lsobell Campbell, Melissa Auf Der Maur, and Neko Case.

Oh, and also Katie Melua, she's ridiculously beautiful.

I always thought Gwen Stefani was very attractive. She tends to favor hair, makeup and fashions that (IMHO) are unflattering.
Susanna Hoffs is certainly near the top.
Belinda Carlisle of the Go Gos was pretty cute at their peak.
Too many to list really.

Several of my teenaged and young adult crushes have been already mentioned here: Olivia Newton-John, Debbie Harry, and Shania Twain.

I'll also nominate Kristin Chenoweth, particularly from a few years ago.

I'm sure she'd sing just for you, Caneknife.

Before I even realised I was a lesbian, I had the serious hots for Natalie Imbruglia in this music video. Maybe it's her I have to thank.

Olivia Newton-John

Whitney Houston

And no question about Jessica Alba.

It's difficult to say. I mean of course Olivia Newton-John is beautiful... inside & out just as you'd expect. No problems there.
The trouble comes up when you think of one or two more current artists... and when you think someone is really beautiful... and you find out through an unimpeachable source that they are nothing but grease-paint on an -sshole.

Imagine having a good friend who works in the service industry... someone with no reason to lie to you and who never has. Someone who interacts with some of these beautiful women. He's a nice guy, never rubs anyone the wrong way & is good at his job. Now imagine learning that this beautiful artist, because she could, just acted out and was the single biggest -sshole to that person and for no reason other than she was bored and she could get away with it.

No, it wasn't Olivia Newton-John; as I said Olivia Newton-John is just as beautiful inside as she is on the outside.
This other person on the other hand, though pretty, is just a walking talking case of shitty personality disease.

< No name listed, because of course she'd sue. ( and no f-cks given when your own bad things come back to you ) >

Well, if the source is unimpeachable, that's different.

Seriously, it sounds like you live in a world inhabited by demons and saints.

Who knows what the fuck happened? What's the point?

Here-ye...! Here-ye...! Be it known to all that there is no musician in all of the industry, let alone a woman, suffering from sh-tty personality disorder...
or who could ever be described as 'just an -sshole covered in grease paint'.
I must be lying, because that just isn't possible, is it?

No, I live in a world filled people who know their worth isn't judged by bank accounts or their % of the gate. Real people who know better than to abuse others just to appease their ego
or to try to look big in front of their minions.
