She should be CRUCIFIED.
And Ivanka’s should be forgiven, because she is the Anointed Sex Object of the Chosen One.

Those hoping that Mar-a-Lago is damaged by the coming storm may overlook that Trump is rooting for the very same thing! Expect FEMA to spend hundreds of millions in taxpayer money to restore Mar-a-Lago and make it bigger and better than ever, with overpriced contractors giving kickbacks to Ivanka's secret bank accounts. The fraud will be advertised as God's work and a boon for the United States, since we do need a suitable place to entertain key allies like Putin and Kim.
Not one single Republican will complain. Democrats who object will be branded as traitors. Trending on Facebook will be evidence that Hurricane Dorian was targeted at Trump by evil Clintonian witchcraft. (Some details above are slightly exaggerated, but a hit on the resort will play out along those lines.) Last edited by septimus; 08-31-2019 at 05:55 PM. |

Well, that is less likely as the the latest projections have the Hurricane do a hard turn north and just follow the Florida coast up north with good space between the eye and the coast, that is good news, and one should always remember that heavy rain does fall on both the unjust and the just.

Hurricanes have often been a threat to Mar-a-Lago. In 2005, Trump said he received a $17 million insurance payment for hurricane damage to the resort, but an Associated Press investigation found little evidence of such large-scale damage. At the time, Trump said he didn’t know how much had been spent on repairs, but acknowledged he pocketed some of the money. He transferred funds into his personal accounts, saying that under the terms of his policy “you didn’t have to reinvest it.” |

Uh, yeah, right. No, he won't. Anyway, if it does not include the bridge his supporters bought, it'll be incomplete. |

POTUS, sensitive to public sentiment on the anniversary of 9/11, doesn't tweet anything political, self-involved or offensive today.

Not actually something Trump has done, but it is Trump related, pissed me off and isn't worth its own thread.
Stupid misleading Newsweek article Donald Trump's Approval Rating Surpasses Obama's, Not Just on Rasmussen Reports. Obviously they are going for click-bait and hoping to cash in on a presidential tweet and MAGA-hat forwarding chain. Of course this has nothing to do with Trump and instead just recognizes the 8 year anniversary of the worst poll ratings of Obama's first term, which puts him in spitting distance of Trumps uniformly dismal approval. This isn't a neck and neck race where Trump has managed to catch up and has the momentum to push on ahead of Obama. We can see the future, we already know that in two weeks Obama's approval ratings will improve, and that Trumps will still be where they have been for the last 2 and a half years, but that won't stop Trump and the MAGA-hatters implying that due to his great leadership Trump is now proved to be a more popular president than Obama, and so is on a trajectory to reelection. I'm actually surprised that our resident cherry picker Hurricane Ditka hasn't touted this news already. |

You have to remember that they spent eight years calling Obama an empty suit who played basketball all the time yet he was also a fascist who wanted to take over everything. They have a lot of practice ascribing contradictory ideas two things.

I mean, yes (also, not sure how one's ability to drive is relevant to a debate in any way), but I figure it's just a crack at Greta's age. Which is just misdirection to not have to answer her actual points - not to mention, how the fuck and in what way is she holding you hostage, you degenerate bag of crazy ?

Yes it is (no matter what Greta says, these people would dismiss it because of her age, and if they couldn't use her age they'd use her sex, and if not her nationality, and if not her hair color, and if not her lack of an education, and if not they'd call her an "elite" as if being good at what you do was somehow wrong...), but it's the blindered-ness of it that gets me. These are people who on one hand fear anybody not like them and on the other cannot conceive of any individual or culture being not like them.
Saying "a high-school junior" would still be using an American frame of reference which would even make sense, not just to Americans, but to anybody who's watched enough American media in English to know the expression. The reference to learner permits, though, is just completely head-up-her-exhaust-tube. It doesn't even apply equally in all of the US! Last edited by Nava; 10-04-2019 at 06:01 AM. |
