The National Republican Congressional Committee is showing an image of Trump in front of a space shuttle getting ready for launch.

The picture that shows flames coming out of the shuttle, and smoke billowing out from his ass?

I'm loving the comments in the linked Reddit thread:

Poor, poor me

My favorite so far:

"Suing is not good enough , since people are staring at me in the grocery store when I wear q gear, like my favorite q tshirts. I tore up a whole stack of newspapers at the store the other day, and when security came, I TruthBombed the f*ck out of them as they escorted me to the store office for interrogation.

Wil I sue? You're damn right! I am suing my kids, too, for believing all the UnTruth about q followers. They are OUT of the will , I tell you, and have NO right to my RV or DVD collection (Their former inheritance)."

Now maybe that is someone making fun of these folks. It's hard to tell. But it is really entertaining me at work this afternoon.

Damn that's hard to read (in more ways than one). I had no idea this level of stupidity existed. This Q thing is like a religious cult to these poor bastards.

Put that guy to work writing satirical product reviews on Amazon. See how he does on the Three Wolf Moon sweatshirt.

Sort of have to wonder if it's real. How is that level of stupidity possible? I know they voted for trump, and that's hard to believe, but sheese. This is cray, cray.

And there have been some thoughts (sorry no link) that the whole Qannon is just a giant trolling of the repubs. See who 'catches' it and makes a fool out of themselves.

He's a pretty low-grade official, sure, but an egregious repeat offender. I've introduced you to Seminole County (FL) Tax Collector Joel Greenberg before, but he didn't do the honorable thing and slink away. Now he's back, in Full Deplorable Mode, tweeting like Trump:
Quote:
Greenberg touched off the controversy Saturday with a post he said he copied from Neal Boortz, a former Libertarian radio talk show host. That Boortz post on Twitter read: “Very simple question. Name just ONE society in the developed world that has benefited in ANY WAY from the introduction of more Muslims. Just one.”

Greenberg’s post was identical but he added, “Asking for a friend.”
...

Greenberg also reposted another Boortz tweet on Monday saying: “There is no such thing as Islamophobia. A phobia is an irrational or unreasonable fear. There’s no cancerphobia either. Same reason.”
The GOP leadership is distancing itself, but not enough to upset the base whose views he is stating. Two more years until this fool is gone ...

During the height of 911 Twoof, several CTers lamented how believing in the conspiracy led them to ruin their lives with divorces, losing access to their kids and much more. I expect a lot of Q believers are experiencing the same thing.

Only faster!

Yes, this is from Breitbart. I apologize, but it's the only place where I can find this being reported.

Senator John Kennedy from Louisiana said that if Brennan had made his criticisms against Trump at an airport, he would have been arrested.

Er, what?

Who is number three?

3. Rep. Scott DesJarlais of Tennessee -- He's still a congressman and has not recently been plagued by scandal or charged with a crime -- but DesJarlais has weathered plenty of criticism. He's been re-elected several times since, but in 2014 it came out that the anti-abortion Republican had urged a woman he impregnated to get an abortion.

In Fort Worth, Texas some Republicans want the vice chairman of the Tarrant County GOP to be removed because he is a Muslim. Apparently any attempt to diversify the party will chip away at the morals that define it. Story from the Dallas Morning News https://www.dallasnews.com/news/texa...-leader-ousted

I've never been very good at philosophy so maybe someone can help me with this: Is bigotry a moral value?

That sound you hear in the distance is that of Republicans masturbating like motherfuckers as they will get to use this as a way to drive out their base in November.

And how, exactly, is one 'removed by force' from a committee assignment? Do they call in the Storm Troopers? Or maybe the Vatican Guard? Blackwater?

It gives me a horrifying image of the Presidential speech if the Shitgibbon had been in office when Columbia was lost: "I've just been told that the space shuttle broke into pieces and fell down across three of the states I carried in my great victory...".

A quick bit of math shows Hunter overdrew his bank account every 2.3 days, on average.

The Sergeant at Arms (and his jackbooted minions) can be summoned if he tries to attend a committee meeting or vote, just as with any other spectator.

Fox & Friends is outraged - OUTRAGED, I tell you! - that the state of California wants kids to drink milk.

Quote:
Would a California bill really limit restaurant drink options for children to "only milk and water"?

That’s the impression left by a recent segment on "Fox & Friends", an influential show that’s sometimes live-tweeted by President Trump...

Here’s part of what the bill says: "This bill would require a restaurant, as defined, that sells a children’s meal that includes a beverage, to make the default beverage water, sparkling water, or flavored water, as specified, or unflavored milk or a nondairy milk alternative, as specified."

The Fox hosts generally get that portion of the bill correct.

But they leave out, until the end of the segment, any reference to a key provision of the bill:

"The bill would not prohibit a restaurant’s ability to sell, or a customer’s ability to purchase, an alternative beverage if the purchaser requests one."
We've seen this GOP backlash against nutrition ever since Michelle Obama started promoting healthy school lunches, of course. This is just another chapter in the "I WANT ICE CREAM FOR BREAKFAST TO OWN THE LIBS!" debacle that the modern GOP has become.
