How do you alphabetize abreviations? Let me give you two examples. I’ve got several issues of “Doctor” Fate and several issues of “Dr.” Fate. Should “Dr.” be considered the same word as Doctor or should it always be alphabetized after “Doctor”. How about “Saint” and “St.”?
The dictionary puts “Doctor” ahead of “Dr.”, and “saint” is put before “st.”
