It seems in recent years (from some cursory Googling I had done) that she’s become a “recovery advocate.” So. . . Did she get cashiered from CNN for substance abuse (of whatever kind) or did that happen after she left CNN? I do remember her getting married back in the early 90s, so maybe she just left. Anyone??? (She was quite a cutie, and I had a big crush on her way back when.)
I don’t know about Susan Rook, but Lynn Russell was fantastic. You’ve gotta like a female news anchor who was a licensed private eye, bodyguard, had two black belts, and wore a .380 strapped to her thigh all the time. Oh yeah, and she was a deputy sheriff, too.
I always thought Lynn Russell looked a lot like Donald Fagen did in Steely Dan’s early days.
