This is a filch of an idea which has used very successfully over on one of our other forums and so you enlightened Dopers can join the party.Some of the topics have had to be changed slightly,but it should work out fine.You make your nominations are then e-mail them to me(iceland_blue@hotmail.com).At the end of the time period(we’ll say a deadline of January 31),I will total them up.
Bribery and canvassing are acceptable,threatening the counter isn’t :slight_smile:

Did anybody else wince when he said, “This is a filch of an idea…” and then realize that this was a perfectly acceptable use of the word?

It is a cool idea, and I’ll participate. You should get some idea of who’s participating though, so you can make sure we have enough votes! Anyway, I saved this in a Word document and I’ll e-mail you close to the end of January.

Hmmmm…people have tried these in the past and they never turn out well.

Yeah, too many egos and bruised feelings, plus the things like “True Dope” would be nothing but trouble.

I was voted Village Idiot in our forum last time and took it in the spirit that I was the one who was the forum oddball :smiley: Doesn’t bother me,I know I’m nuts :slight_smile:
Normally,it’s the guy who floods the forum with porn or who rants wildly at everyone who gets voted.Some of them become forum legends :slight_smile:
