Do I really have to pay $210 for my immigration and naturalization papers?

I need a copy of them and I have a feeling my mother may have “lost” them. I went on the INS website, and it says I have to pay $210 for replacements! But at least in one other place I’ve seen where they claim to do it for $65 or so. Is this legit? $210 is a hell of a lot of money to replace some forms! This is really unfair. Anyone know anything about it?

I wouldn’t know for sure, but the $65 quote might not include the $210 fee. Might be good to read the fine print and see if $65 is just extra cost for assistance. (Which, if you needed any assistance, is free on the USCIS help line)

Eek. I didn’t even think of that. I will write them, I think, and see if that’s the deal.
