Lymph dripping out of leg issues anyone??

Just to reassure anyone - I am not asking for medical advice! I have been to see my doctor, she took advice from a specialist at the hospital and we are waiting to see what will happen and have had blood tests and urine tests in the meantime.
Four days ago I noticed a wet patch on my trousers and traced it to a tiny red spot on my leg - it just very slowly drips lymph and won’t stop. Has anyone else had a similar experience? If so, what was the final outcome?

… and from that day on I walked with a permanent lymph.

Wow, now that’s a bodily system you rarely hear anything about.

I’ve had something similar happen to me. It’s definitely something for your doctor to treat. In my case, it’s because I have lymphedema. This disease needs treatment as soon as possible.

What kind of treatment do you get for it - my doctor thought I might have mild lymphoedema too

What makes you (or your doctor) believe it’s lymph? It would be much more likely to be serum. Is your leg swollen? Have you had surgery involving lymph nodes on the same leg? Lymphedema happens after removal of the nodes proximal to the limb, or clogging of the nodes which is seen in elephantiasis, which is a rare parasitic disease from Africa.

Cellulitis can cause leaking of serum, but your doctor would easily recognize that.
Even though the article addresses only infection, aceptic cellulitis can occur in individuals with congestive heart failure who can have so much edema in the legs that they leak, virtually identical to cellulitis.

I seem to remember **Lynn Bodoni ** saying that she suffers from cellulitis. Can you have both at the same time?

Oh…and, eeeew. Dripping lymph nodes. Whodathunkit?

Yes, lymphedema can accumulate enough to cause cellulitis.

Well she did say she didn’t know much about lymph problems. Have a history of water retention but the leg was dripping over night when I don’t have swollen ankles. Haven’t had surgery. From what I’ve read about lymphoedema, you can be born with it or develop it at puberty or middle age. I don’t have congestive heart failure either. Last night the dripping stopped! No wet patch in the bed.

I don’t have cellulitis either - where the small hole is, it is healthy white skin - the doctor checked for that.

Well, obviously the hole is from the probe that the aliens inserted, and the liquid is your new alien blood-type product oozing out.

Expect the formation of scales soon.

Not to minimize possible health problems, but could it have simply been a deep blister? Have you done an unusual amount of walking, or worn clothing different from your usual attire that might have chafed or pinched the area in question?

I always do a lot of walking - but picture your leg with no marks or bruises, and a tiny red pin prick hole. You can barely see it and the leg colour is as it always is. Just had this slow leak.

I thought aliens went for anal probes, not legs?

Those are the fake government aliens. Real extraterrestrials are far less predictable.

Maybe you should check yer backside as well…

You don’t by any chance eat out with Russian mobsters, do you?

picunurse’s explanation (oozing serum) sounds more likely than lymph (from a lymphatic vessel(s), not lymph nodes) - but then again net diagnoses are fraught with difficulty. Did your doc consider doing a skin punch biopsy to see what the lesion is?

Wouldn’t I have other symtoms if it was Russian poisoning? Oh, and I have no contact with Russian mobsters anyway.
No she didn’t - but the lesion is so small, there is almost nothing to see.
When I looked up information on serum leaks as opposed to lymph leaks, I thought a lymphoedema sounded more me.

I had my legs wrapped, compression stockings, and I elevate my feet several times a day. For the cellulitis, I had to take antibiotics for a while.

As far as you know.

So did the lymphoedema go away again?
Everyday I have swollen ankles and feet - unless I wear boots or have spent some of the day with my legs up.
