I know you can,t account for taste, but this one has always bothered me. Soccer is boring to watch, there is no scoring and almost nothing happens most of the game. Football on the other hand has so much action, hitting and most importantly SCORING! Yet while our movies and tv shows are enjoyed around the world our football isn’t. Ask any Italian or Brazilian or German and they’ll tell you soccer is exciting to watch (WTF?) and football is boring. Seriously, how can ghey possibly think this?
This topic has been discussed repeatedly here, including in this current thread over in The Game Room:
Bumping this to a mod for possible merging with the other thread, or at least moving to The Game Room.
No, my question isn,t why Americans think soccer is boring, the answer is obvious because soccer has no action and no scoring, we like excitement in our sports. What I want to know is why non-Americans think soccer isn’t boring and why they get excited by soccer. Do they like low action no scoring sports and why?
Given that there is currently an active thread on this in the Game Room, I’m going to close this and direct the OP to seek his answer over there.
