How many US Presidents have there been in your lifetime?

I woke up this morning with the thought that some US citizens must have lived from the terms of George Washington to Abraham Lincoln, as only 64 years separated their terms of 1st and 16th POTUS.

So many US Presidents have served in your lifetime? My number is 11.

A handy list dating back 100 years:

William Howard Taft, 1909-1913
Woodrow Wilson, 1913-1921
Warren Gamaliel Harding, 1921-1923
Calvin Coolidge, 1923-1929
Herbert Clark Hoover, 1929-1933
Franklin Delano Roosevelt, 1933-1945
Harry S. Truman, 1945-1953
Dwight David Eisenhower 1953-1961
John Fitzgerald Kennedy, 1961-1963
Lyndon Baines Johnson, 1963-1969
Richard Milhous Nixon, 1969-1974
Gerald Rudolph Ford, 1974-1977
James Earl Carter, Jr., 1977-1981
Ronald Wilson Reagan, 1981-1989
George Herbert Walker Bush, 1989-1993
William Jefferson Clinton, 1993-2001
George Walker Bush, 2001-2009
Barack Hussein Obama, 2009-

Nine. I fully expect to get up to 16 before shuffling off this mortal coil. Maybe I’ll be one of them!
OK, that’s a long shot.

11 for me - I had them all counted up before I saw your list. I am SMRT!

And I have to say, I really thought I’d be older before we had a president younger than I am. The current POTUS falls between my two youngest sisters in age, and it just seems weird to me.

  1. GHWB through BHO. Missed Reagan by several months.

Twelve for me. I don’t remember Truman, but I remember all the others.

  1. I go to 11.

Eight for me; Nixon through Obama.

Another Eisenhower baby here. Eleven for me.

Five; Kennedy through Carter.

You died before '82?

Not a US citizen here, but seven - born during the Ford years I guess.

You are dead?

Ok, so failed attempt at humor is fail.
It’s six for me. Born in '80, so I was born at the end of the Carter administration.

I’m a canuck, but you guys appear to have had 11 in my lifetime. In terms of Canadian PM’s, I go back to Diefenbaker. I’m sure someone will chime in with how many that is!

  1. I have no memory of Truman being President, but I do remember watching Eisenhower’s first inauguration on TV (as well as Elizabeth II’s Coronation). I was already a freshman in college when Kennedy was assassinated.

10 for me. I remember all of them except JFK.

  1. Memories of all of them.
  1. Don’t remember Eisenhower, remember Kennedy, saw him in San Antonio the day before he died.

Wife and I have been together since Ford.

Eleven, although I have no memory of Eisenhower. Of course, I have no memory of where I parked my car either, so maybe that doesn’t count.

Regards,
Shodan

Oh yeah? Well, I dined, got drunk with (or maybe just in front of), and played backgammon with Eisenhower’s brother! And Wife and I have been together since Nixon!

10 presidents, back to Kennedy.

For Canadian Prime Ministers, it would also be 10, removing the duplicate Pierre. From the current backwards…

Stephen Harper
Paul Martin
Jean Chrétien
Kim Campbell
Brian Mulroney
John Turner
Pierre Trudeau
Joe Clark
Pierre Trudeau
Lester Pearson
John Diefenbaker
