8 Corvettes fall in a hole

A 1962 and seven others have fallen into a sinkhole which opened under the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY.

We always knew they were too heavy.

Ouch.

Here is the list:
1962 black Corvette
1984 PPG pace car
1992 white 1 millionth Corvette
1993 ruby red 40th anniversary Corvette
1993 ZR-1 Spyder on loan from General Motors
2001 Mallett Hammer Z06 Corvette
2009 white 1.5 millionth Corvette
2009 ZR1 “Blue Devil” on loan from General Motors

I wonder if they are going to try to recover them.

So it’s a money-shaped hole you throw Corvettes in.

Mother Nature went down to the museum and threw a quarry in.

The hole was described a “massive”, but was probably smaller than average.

It’s hard to see why this would not be attempted.

A hole, you say? I’m sure the authorities are looking into it.
Seriously, what is it with sinkholes lately? One opened up in the central reservation of a motorway in England just the other day. And before that one appeared overnight and swallowed a car in the driveway of a house.

Safety. When that sinkhole swallowed up a person in his house last year, there was no attempt to retrieve the body - the ground was too unstable to risk it.

>> 8 Corvettes fall in a hole

Usually this sort of thing starts with: a priest, a nun, and Bill Clinton walk into a bathroom…

I could cry! Shut up you Ford-lovers! That’s all you are!

Aww! You beat me to it! I was going to try to come up with something similar.

So eight Corvettes fall into hell. “Well,” Satan sighed, “there goes the neighborhood.”

Why did the eighth Corvette drive into the hole?
It was following the seventh Corvette.
Why did the seventh Corvette drive into the hole?
It was following the sixth Corvette.
Why did the sixth Corvette drive into the hole?
It was following the fifth Corvette.
Why did the fifth Corvette drive into the hole?
It was following the fourth Corvette.
Why did the fourth Corvette drive into the hole?
It was following the third Corvette.
Why did the third Corvette drive into the hole?
It was following the second Corvette.
Why did the second Corvette drive into the hole?
It was following the first Corvette.
Why did the first Corvette drive into the hole?

Who knows why Vette drivers do any of the shit they do?

Bowling Green is near cave country; Mammoth Cave is not very far away. What a shock to have a sinkhole form right at the museum!

It was Steve Irwin, digging up from purgatory, seeking revenge on the stingray that killed him.

Smaller than average?!! This happens often enough that there’s an average?!!

…and the man turned to the genie & said, “No, you idiot! The Drivers!!!”

Maybe the cars will be featured in an expansion of Kentucky Down Under.

What a shock to have 8 Corvettes suddenly appear in Mammoth Cave! But I guess it won’t be a surprise.
