Most amazing/outlandish Trump facts.

This thread is only for some interesting and outlandish facts about the President of the United States. True facts, not opinions or unverified claims. So saying that Trump is an idiot is not allowed since that is an opinion not a fact.

I’ll start.

*Donald Trump has a cabinet member, whose husbands head, Trump once shaved on live TV.

* Donald Trump, who promised to "hire only the best people" and "drain the swamp" has mainly hired based on flattery, donations to his campaign and looks, has the highest turnover of any modern president, (with a few exceptions) expresses nothing but support in public up until the moment he gets someone else to fire you, yet retains people he has repeatedly publicly accused of running a treasonous campaign against him

Donald Trump has averaged 6 lies a day since his inauguration, and the trend is up.

Trump (and Melania) have a brief cameo at the beginning of Zoolander.

And kinda sorta in Mystic Pizza. There is a scene where Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous is playing in the background, and Robin Leach is interviewing one Donald J. Trump (pre-Melania, since we're talking 1980s)

As a presidential candidate, Trump repeatedly threatened to jail his opponent (Hillary Clinton) if he won, incited his followers to violence, and appealed to the leader of a hostile foreign power to undertake an illegal email hacking operation.

As President, Trump has made easily falsified statements such as those about the size of and weather at his inauguration crowd, has made unsubstantiated claims like the supposed "three to five million illegal votes" that cost him the popular vote, and refused to shake the hand of the head of state of a key strategic ally in front of cameras.

Trump ran "Trump University LLC" until 2010 when it was found that it was not qualified as university under New York state law, and that Donald Trump did not apply for a business license; the name was changed to "Trump Entrepreneurial Institute", although it was still promoted as "Trump University". In November 2016 Trump trump settled a suit with the state of New York and two class action lawsuits for a total of $25 million while claiming that this was not an admission of liability.

Trump has licensed his name to companies producing vodka, online steaks (sold through The Sharper Image stores), and presciently, "Golden Ale". All of these brands are defunct, along with his airline and air taxi service, a modeling agency, a short-lived bike race, a mid-level marketing supplement company, his alternative football league and team, and a home mortgage that opened in 2006, just prior to the mortgage housing crisis.

Donald Trump has run multiple casinos--a business with a statistically guaranteed gross profit--into bankruptcy.

The portrayal of casino owner Biff Tannen from Back to the Future, Part II was based upon Donald Trump.

After nearly thirty years Donald Trump still doesn't understand the actual insult in Graydon Carter's epithet as a "short-fingered vulgarian".

Trump spent about half what Hillary spent in their Presidential campaigns and won.

Clinton's unsuccessful campaign ($768 million in spending) outspent Trump's successful one ($398 million) by nearly 2 to 1.

How is this not the stock photo for news shows every time they have a story about Trump and Giuliani?

Trump is the only US president who was married 3 times. And although one other president (Reagan) was divorced, Trump is the only president who was divorced twice.

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi was considering action against Trump and his fake University. The Trump foundation donated $25000 to her re-election campaign and she decided to not pursue action against the fraudulent Trump University.

Trump and his businesses have been involved in at least 3,500 legal actions in federal and state courts during the past three decades.

And now he just can't stop thinking about it.

While still married to his first wife, Ivana, Trump began a years-long affair with Marla Maples. Though the affair cost him his marriage, Trump reminisced that during the affair, his "life was so great in so many ways. The business was so great . . . a beautiful girlfriend, a beautiful wife, a beautiful everything. Life was just a bowl of cherries."

Donald Trump has been accused of sexual assault by 16 women, and has openly bragged, on video, about groping women without their consent and barging into locker rooms where underage girls were undressed.

In 2004, Trump purchased a 62,000 square foot mansion in Palm Beach, Florida for about $41 million. He sold it in 2008 to a Russian billionaire for about $100 million. Neither person ever resided in it, and it was torn down after it was sold.

While running for President, Trump criticized Obama for spending too much time playing golf. Since becoming President, Trump has played at over twice the rate that Obama played.

Trump beat 16 contenders to become the Republican presidential nominee and then he turned around and defeated the best candidate the Democrats had to offer.

If you are a US citizen, he is your president.

Donald Trump's Uncle, Dr. John Trump was apparently a legit smart guy, Professor Emeritus at MIT and a large figure in the fields of electrical engineering, radar, physics and cancer treatments in the field of radiation therapy, and water sterilization with electrons, and helped with the development of the Van de Graaff generator.

Trump was interviewed by Sacha Baron Cohen's Ali G character.

It's a short clip where Cohen/Ali G was promoting a glove that was to be worn while eating ice cream -you know, so your hands wouldn't get messy as it melted. Trump wasn't especially amused and cut the interview short.

Trump is the first president since Herbert Hoover who never sought (nor occupied) a political office and who did not serve in the military. (Eisenhower never ran nor served as a politician but had a rather successful military career.)

How many of those jobs were in his bankrupt companies? How many small businesses have folded because he refused to pay them?

I understand he has stiffed suppliers but I still think his net job creation is positive. The Trump Organization has about 22,450 employees, not counting jobs at their suppliers.

I have 2 employees.

How many do you have?

The suppliers of the Trump Org. are largely overseas. All of Trumps's products are made overseas as are/were Ivanka's.

That may well be, but according to CNN they (in 2017) were the 48th largest privately held company in the US. I'd say that's a pretty good turnout for a 1 million dollar start.

https://money.cnn.com/2016/12/15/inv...ivate-company/

As to making stuff overseas, I would expect a company to make things where ever they are cheapest and most efficient to make.

The article points out that Trump's business has grown substantially in value since he became President. Considering the numerous reports of people, organizations, and foreign countries that are offering favorable business deals to Trump's company in exchange for him giving them favorable government deals, it's no surprise his business has grown. He now has the office of the Presidency to sell.

I think jobs are important wherever they are, not just in the USA. If it's cheaper to make something in China, then it should be made there (which will still create jobs).

Yeah, about that, the fact is that Trump stretched the truth.

The Pinocchio Test

Trump protests too much when he says that Rubio’s $200-million figure is “wrong by a factor of hundreds.” Trump likely did not inherit $200 million by himself, though perhaps that was the size of the father’s estate, before taxes.

Moreover, Trump’s claim that he built a real-estate fortune out of a “small” $1 million loan is simply not credible. He benefited from numerous loans and loan guarantees, as well as his father’s connections, to make the move into Manhattan. His father also set up lucrative trusts to provide steady income. When Donald Trump became overextended in the casino business, his father bailed him out with a shady casino-chip loan—and Trump also borrowed $9 million against his future inheritance. While Trump asserts “it has not been easy for me,” he glosses over the fact that his father paved the way for his success — and that his father bailed him out when he got into trouble.

For ignoring and playing down the substantial advantages his father’s wealth gave him, Trump earns Four Pinocchios.

Both of those are true but in my opinion he is wrong about the EC. I think it is very important and the founding fathers were smart enough to see fit to create it. But then I am a Libertarian and think the most important Amendment is the 10th.
