Has anyone noticedthat the SDMB is nearing critical mass? We are very close to witnessing the **1,000,000th**? Do you think you will have the honor of having the **1,000,000th** post? ---

Yeah! What gives about the out-of-synch-atude of the numbers? One night I’m being feted for being Mr Meg and the next morning we’ve misplaced tens of thousands of posts. Did Katherine Harris have something to do with it? And will that be the last Katherine Harris line anybody ever uses? ---

drop: the filing system counts all the posts ever made, but the front page numbering system only counts posts currently available. Which means there’s quite a few thou deleted posts. –Tim ---

I think it’s fair to celebrate when the odometer reads 1,000,000, no matter how many threads are left. Won’t it mean more if there’s 1,000,000 threads available to look at? I think so 🙂 ---
