I would say plan on driving to a number of places and doing short walks. If you take the hiking route, so to speak, you see less, but it will still be lovely. ---

Better late than never… Wanted to report back and let you know that I had an amazing day in Yellowstone. (This was back in mid October.) I left early morning and got to the gate at dawn. I drove along the northern road and then around the main loop, stopping by many of the major attractions.
