First century BCE Rome?! And how in the HELL did they get the lion cleared to be transported for something like this? How did they provoke it? What happened to it afterwards? I’m not outraged by this, just amazed by the absolute stupidity of it. It’s just wrong on every level. Apparently it happened in April. Had anyone else heard about this? ---

Aw crap, I fell for it. :smack: It’s a lot funnier when it’s not real. Now I can say: “At least the government got its pound of flesh.” “Their pride wasn’t enough against that lion.” There was another one, but I forget. The thing that really surprised me the most was the fact that they could even GET a lion. Perhaps with bribes or lying about their reasons they could. I’m sorry I didn’t give the Cambodian government more credit, too. I have to admit that I laughed when I first read it. I felt guilty about that, but now it’s not so bad. Now to go prank some people with this. 😛 ---
