@ECG is not available this week for personal reasons, however, the rest of the mods discussed this, and we feel the violation is straightforward enough that we don’t need to wait for his return to act on it. This is in your series of 16 posts in this thread 1. **Crane** is banned from discussing trans-related issues until further notice. We felt that Crane can be a constructive member of the board on other topics, but needs to refrain from further comments on this one. _The ban will be posted._ 2. **Crane** has earned an official warning and a 1 week suspension for his hate speech in this thread. **This thread is now closed.** 16 posts in this thread were the cause of this action: > [@Aspidistra finds loophole in hate speech rules?](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/aspidistra-finds-loophole-in-hate-speech-rules/960843/57): > > In my original mis-gendering transgression I referred to a character in a TV reality play who referred to his husband as being pregnant. I referred to that as a female impersonating a male. No slur was intended. It was simply sentential English. In order to debate reality we need access to language. ---
