I blame network television. If our children are constantly bombarded with images of people throwing shrimp at one another, they will believe it is an acceptable action. No wonder our society has become numb to the devastation caused by shrimp throwing. I grieve for the mothers with children who have been victims of drive-by shrimping.

Guess he signed a waiver for the surgery or something, so they can’t go after the hospital?
I don’t see how ducking too fast could injure you to the point where you needed surgery on your neck. I mean sometimes I move my head the wrong way or too fast and get a hot pain in my neck, but it goes away after a few minutes and no apparent long term effects.
When I read the headline this morning, I thought he like ducked and fell out of his chair and hit his head and died of massive head trauma or something, which would have been a little more plausible I think.

Sorry, **lieu** , you appear to be misunderstanding. The chitinous fan-shaped projections at the tail-end of the shrimp are removed by the chef, so the diner doesn’t have to be bothered with them.

Is Benihana’s the one where the chef is at each table and does all the showy entertainment with spatulas and knives while cooking the food? If not, what is the one called. I’ve always wanted to see that in person.

It is, indeed, Benihana’s. And I can attest, having been to many dinners at these restaurants, that the food is good but not great, and therefore overpriced, and the shows that the chefs put on used to be more exciting than they are now, although they never fail to make me smile at least once. It is definitely worth one expensive night out to experience it, though.
