Ten books I think everyone should read (in no particular order):

• TheLord of the Flies–William Golding
(May have been the book that turned me into a reader, back in highschool)

• To Kill a Mockingbird–Harper Lee
(I read this yearly, at least. So good)

• The Milagro Beanfield War–John Nichols
(Laugh out loud funny)

• Jitterbug Perfume–Tom Robbins
(One of a kind)

• Into Thin Air–Jon Krakauer
(My introduction to a helluva a journalist/writer. Great, albeit sad, story)

• Resurrection Day–Brendan Dubois
(I love a good ‘What if’)

• Never Let Me Go–Kazuo Ishiguro
(Could not get this book out of my mind for days)

• Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff–Christopher Moore
(Satire-ish, but a compelling idea about religion)

• Gods Behaving Badly–Marie Phillips
(Just a pretty good time)

• A Confederacy of Dunces–John Kennedy Toole
(Seriously, just read it)

Given the above, what ten books do you think I should read?

I’ll try yours if you’ll try mine.

I’m tempted to include Moore’s Lamb also, but I wanna do an all new list-

C. S. Lewis - The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe (Narnia I)
C. S. Lewis - The Last Battle (Narnia VII)

Aldous Huxley - Brave New World
George Orwell - 1984

Pick any one book by Ray Bradbury

Taylor Caldwell - Dear and Glorious Physician
Taylor Caldwell - Captains and the Kings

Brian Caldwell - We All Fall Down (the most unsettling Rapture novel ever written)

One novel by Ayn Rand

Mary Shelley - Frankenstein

You should read _Fatherland_ by Robert Harris. Another alternate history novel that I think had a similar feel to _Resurrection Day_.

_The Stupidest Angel_, by Christopher Moore.
_Wyrd Sisters
Guards! Guards!_ both by Terry Pratchett.
_The Plague and I_ by Betty MacDonald
_You Gotta Play Hurt_, by Dan Jenkins
_Holidays in Hell_, by P.J. O’Rourke
Any of the _Miss Manners_ books, by Judith Martin.

_The Warrior’s Apprentice_ by Lois McMaster Bujold.
_The Many-Colored Land_, by Julian May
_Startide Rising_, by David Brin

The first group contains hilarious books, IMHO, and there’s some humor in the second group too, along with lots of adventure and drama.

Thanks everyone!

I’ve read 7 of those listed above, but will definately look into the rest. I just wish there were more hours in my days.
