A patient seen in our hospital this week has drunk about that many beers in his adult life, based on his reporting having had 6-8 beers a day for the last 40 years. That works out to over 1.2 million ounces\*. Far from a record, of course, but still impressive. He has probably belched out enough CO2 to be responsible for a good-sized chunk of global warming just by himself. \*assuming a standard 12-oz. can. ---
