Heck, I think he even guested on ‘Mork and Mindy’ once. That robot gets around. He should have his own IMDB listing. And no ‘Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow’? It had giant killer city-destroying robots! What more can they ask? ---

Pretty broad definition of “Robot”, there. I wouldn’t inmclude The Tin Woodsman as a robot (you can make a much better case for Tik Tok of Oz being a robot). You’ll get into definitional fights over things like Frankenstein (or The Golem, for that matter). By the way, The Robot from Lost in Space was designed by the same guy who designed Robbie. Robbie also showed up (sometimes with changes) in the original Twilight Zone (along with a lot of other Forbidden Planet props and clips). ---

More omissions: If they’re going to count the missile launch systems in _War Games_ and the babe in _Weird Science_ as robots, then they darn well ought to count HAL. And I also note that they include _Star Trek: First Contact_ and _Nemesis_, but not _Insurrection_. As for _Sky Captain_, the list is from September of 2003 (later entries are all in production, with projected release dates), so I wouldn’t expect it to be complete past that date. _Sky Captain_ may not have even been in the works, and even if it was, it may not have been generally known that it would involve robots. ---
