I have enough social awareness to know if someone is faking laughing or not. I have enough social awareness to read the clues and determine if what I’m saying to someone is bugging them or not.

I don’t know, tdn. You don’t know me from a hole in the ground but a bit you said last year really stuck in my head:

I was stopped on the sidewalk by two incredibly cute young ladies. They wanted to know if I knew when the parking meters were no longer in effect. <snip> I said “Hey, if you want to take the chance… Just put in a quarter, you’ll be good.” She said she didn’t have one. Her friend started looking for nickels and dimes. I rolled my eyes and handed the friend a quarter. They were greatful. They were incredibly greatful. One immediately stuck her hand out to shake mine and called me a great guy. Their body language screamed that I could have asked them for anything, and they would have gladly given it.

Some middle aged guy gives them a quarter and two cute young women would have given you “anything”? Makes me wonder if your social radar is quite as good as you think. Just my humble observation, hope you don’t take offense.
