# 105 years old. One hell of a run grandma

Whenever I hear about people who are over 100 I always think “Wow, that person has really seen a lot of stuff in their lives and at this point probably nothing phases them.”  
The Depression, World War I and II, flight, space flight, lived pretty much the entire history of 19th century music, viet-nam, a couple dozen presidents. Just on and on and on…

My godmother’s mother died a couple weeks ago, the day before her 106th birthday. **Clara** , too, was a heckuva lady. I wish I’d had a chance to chat with her about all the things she’s seen in the last century or so, but they inexplicably cut ties with my family a few years back–no falling out that we’re aware of, they just unfriended us out of the blue.  
Still, I was awfully sad to hear of her death. ☹
