11.22.2013 (Kennedy Assassination)

Not to mention that the spotter apparently waited until Kennedy was about to go behind a sign before giving the signal to fire. Plus, wouldn’t a spotter need some way to communicate with the shooter? What is Zapruder supposed to have used - telepathy? Carrier pigeons? Smoke signals?

I like a good conspiracy theory as much as the next guy, but you have to give me some fig leaf of plausibility to cling to. Can’t Zapruder be an FBI auditor to make sure the Mafia assassination subcontract comes in on time and under budget? Then, if it does, they can schedule the RFK assassination.

The Magic Bullet cuts costs on ammunition and helps with the budgetting.

Can we get off this conspiracy theory hijack and get back to the main topic of Marilyn Monroe and Christina Hendricks?

No, we can’t, because Christina is innocent.

Marilyn Monroe was also innocent, but she was killed for more subtle reasons. That was in case they got caught. Then, at the trial, the first conspirator gets up and says to the judge,“I killed the President of the United States.” The judge says, “Guilty!” The second conspirator gets up and says to the judge, “I killed the President of the United States, and the former Attorney General of the United States.” The judge says, “Guilty!”

Then the last conspirator gets up and says to the judge, “I killed the President of the United States, the former Attorney General of the United States, and a blonde with big boobs.” The judge says, “You killed a blonde with big boobs?” The last conspirator turns to the first one and slaps him upside the head. “See, dummy - I told you no one would care about the President!”

I’m just mad about Saffron…

And can I just hope that, once we’re past the 50th anniversary of the Kennedy assassination, we can let November 22 in subsequent years pass without the subject being brought up? We’ve been getting ghoulish over the memory of the JFK assassination longer than JFK was alive, fercryinoutloud. If he were alive today, he’d be 96 years old.

Bell & Howell. They needed the publicity.

Would that it were a joke.

Pretty steady hand in filming for someone who just witnessed the assassination …not to mention hearing all that gunfire. More like a seasoned professional than a garment maker.

Ever heard of shock?
One’s profession does not determine how they will act in an emergency.

Really? What is the evidence that Zapruder even recognized the significance of what he was filming at the moment he was filming it?
Have you ever even watched the Zapruder film? Do you actually call that “steady”? The image bounces around even before the gunshots and continues with the same level of bouncing around afterward.

It would be nice to get a CT enthusiast in here who was capable of posting without making egregious errors that are easily corrected by the simplest observation.

So, there were a bunch of shooters and they all fired at the exact same time? I knew it!

That is so ignorant as to be repugnant in itself. That probably explains why he immediately jumped down from the top of the retaining wall they were perched on and being screaming they killed the President, they killed the President.

Such as the fact that seconds after the “shot” which Zapruder described echoed all around, there isn’t any noticeable reaction by the onlookers, but of course you see it don’t you…

The only thing ignorant or repugnant is your misinterpretaion of what I posted.

The film is not that long. You claimed or insinuated that the Zapruder appeared to be a professional because the film was so steady even after witnessing the assassination.
However, that is not what happened. Look at the film, again. It is noticeably unsteady in every single frame, so the “steady” claim is nonsense to begin with.
Then, the film is not that long. Looking through the tiny viewfinder of that model,it is unlikely that Zapruder recognized what he was seeing at the moment that it occurred. As his brain processed the image he had just seen, he definitely did react with the exclamation that the president had been killed. So when he realized that he had witnessed the assassination, he did react violently. However, that was the point where he stopped filming.

Really? Two points on this:

  • When I reviewed the film, even before Zapruder put down the camera one can see numerous people running and falling back from the parade route while many others stand still;
  • Few people have actually heard gunshots so often that they recognize them, instantly. Gunshots are routinely reported as cars backfiring, fireworks, and other sounds, so the fact that not every single person in every frame of the Zapruder film following the shots is ducking for cover means nothing more than that some people did recognize the shots as gunshots and reacted, some people did not recognize the shots as gunshots and failed to react, and some people may have recognized the shots as gunshots, but were simply too stunned to take any action in the few seconds that any one of them happen to appear on the Zapruder film.
