Lord. I haven’t seen a movie in a theater in probably 2 years and I’ve already been called three times by friends and family to see if I was there. Any other Dopers in the Denver-metro area call your loved ones to let them know you’re okay. I was awakened by my mother-in-law in tears convinced that we were dead, since she hadn’t heard otherwise. ---

Twelve lives are over and countless lives are damaged, and the media swarms like flies to a dead dog’s carcass, while we all glue ourselves to the TV and hope that there is actual YouTube footage of people being killed.
