> We identified 7 case reports of magnets adherent across the nasal septum, with the first published in 1998. Two of these cases resulted in nasal septum perforation; in both, removal was delayed several hours. McCormick and colleagues reported 24 cases of magnetic foreign bodies seen during an 8-week period in 2000. Eleven cases involved the nose, but only 1 clearly involved the nasal septum. These authors noted that areas of pressure necrosis became apparent around magnets, even if removal was delayed "only a few hours.

> Talk her into a stud, rings look silly.

those little ones that [screw in](http://www.mspiercing.com/product/16258.aspx). And don’t let her [gauge](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stretching_%28body_piercing%29) in cartilage - that takes plastic surgery to hide if she changes her mind. And cartilage really never heals properly from what I understand.

> Piercings on a zombie might tear the flesh and fall out. Magnetic nose studs, on the other hand, could work!

And then if you ever need a load of zombies, you just get a big magnet, hold it out in front of you and WHUMP!
