The guy is out of prison for TWO DAYS?? My guess is he wanted to go back in. For real, not a joke. Could’ve found a better way, like maybe just robbing the Circle K he was standing in without a weapon. ---

13 months for aggravated assault? Incidents like this reinforce my belief that we don’t punish violent crimes harshly enough and that we punish nonviolent crimes too harshly. ---

Consider also that agg. assault is what he likely plead to, and not all of what he was actually guilty of doing. Catch and release. Maybe he’ll actually be incapacitated for long enough this time? Crazy people are going to do crazy stuff, Bo. Usually, it’s done to them. I wouldn’t give his stated motivation much credence. ---

(Not that that makes it okay) In my opinion, anyone who has a mental disorder that causes them to kill random people in the street should be placed in involuntary psychiatric confinement until it can be proven that they no longer have the mental disorder.
