I don’t like modern pop, but back then, pop bands like Wham made good music, even Paula Abdul pretty good. And we didn’t have crapy teeny bopers like Britny Spears, N’Sync, 38 Degrees, Christina Agulara, BackStreat Boys, and so on. Yeah, we had Debbie Gibson and Tiffany, but they weren’t so bad. Ok, so there were the New Kids On The Block…Yeeeaachhhhhh!!!

Oh, you are so right. What was I thinking? The 90’s gave us such wonderfull acts as The BackStreet Boys, Britny Spears, N’Synk, Christina Agulara, 98 Degrees, and Jesica Simpson. Oh THANK GOODNESS FOR THE 90’S!!!
(Can you detect the sarcasm?)

Skid Row, Motley Crue, Poison, Cinderella, Ratt, Slaughter, Twisted Sister, Faster Pussycat… I could go on and on. I just went to a concert a couple months ago and saw Slaughter, Dokken, Cinderella, and Poison and it was awesome!!!

It seems now that MTV (well, I watch M2 because MTV doesn’t play videos much any more) plays mostly rap and dance music. I wish they would show more rock videos. Oh well.

I would consider Joy Division a late 70s band. Ian Curtis died in May 1980.

They were brilliant, though.
