The ready availability of firearms, our cavalier attitude towards giving those firearms to pretty much anybody - especially to somebody with a known history of issues, what else we could have done to prevent this from happening in the first place - these are all valid things to criticize. But criticizing security guards for failing to take a rifle from somebody who was already firing it (!) and insinuating they were some sort of paper tigers for “escalating” the situation - again when shots had already been fired - is setting an unrealistic and grossly unfair bar. ---

They should bring back insane asylums and lobotomies. It’s tragic what happened to the church goers. Not all insane asylums were abusive. I’ve stayed in a mental hospital for ten days after my therapist called the ambulance because I made a video and talked about me having homicidal thoughts and I don’t act on it because it’s illegal. and I didn’t see anyone getting raped or beaten. I been in the psych ward three times. ---

Long history of mental illness (diagnosed schizophrenic) and drug addict. The father, Carranza, a registered sex offender is currently in prison. That child considered severely’ special-needs by CPS never had a chance of a stable life. Thankful that the church hired off duty officers for security.
