She’s a stupid bitch, no doubt about it, but some of the comments on that news story rivaled her for sheer dumbassery. “OMG THEY WERE DRINKING ALCOHOL IN FRONT OF THE CHILDREN!!111!” At what point did people decide that no child should ever see an adult drinking an alcoholic beverage? Are they never to be allowed within 50 feet of a beer? If they never see responsible drinking how are they supposed to become responsible drinkers when they go off to college and don’t have Mommy and Daddy to control their lives for them anymore? ---

Just such a delightful idea… Years ago, when I worked as a hostess at TGI Friday’s, we had a woman call who was all upset because she had eaten something with Jack Daniels sauce. She didn’t know Jack Daniels was liquor! And she was pregnant! Aieeeee! I don’t know how the manager wound up handling that one, but I doubt it involved any money. ---

I agree with the consensus, but just for the sake of debate (since there’s none to be gleaned from the actual story), what–in your opinion–would constitute wrongdoing on the part of the restaurant? I assume most of us would agree that if they accidentally served young master Jdam a White Russian instead of milk, the restaurant would have some 'splaining to do. What if they serve alcoholic drinks in cups with lids and cartoon characters on the front, for example? Would you consider them partly at fault? And sign me up for the contraceptive-by-blowdart training. I’ll start practicing my aim today. ---

In the examples you gave, surely the restaurant would be at fault. In the this particular case, the waitress put all of the drinks in the middle of the table. IMHO that makes the restaurant about 0.01% at fault. ---
