20 Questions version 4.0

Is it ignorance?

Wicked Blue asked: 18) Is it ignorance?

Feelin’ Blue, nope.

I’m smarter than you are! Nananana na na… :stuck_out_tongue:
Come on guys, think! It’s not toooo hard, while it may be the hardest of the four. Look back to WL’s clue. For those of you that were in the only game that actually went to twenty questions, you should be able to fill in that blank. Which may help you out a little.

Hey…Yo La Tengo…whats the answer to the earlier game?

C’mon, please?

PLEASE???

I beleive Yo is referring to game 1.0 which had the answer time

Ok, thanks 5 time champ.

My Guess:
19) Is it a unit of time? (i.e. hour, day, year, second)

(your name here) asked: 19) Is it a unit of time? (i.e. hour, day, year, second)

I am a lobster, hmm. Perhaps you should be read over WL’s clue.

The answer was “time” in that game, so you got somewhere. In other words, you can say that “you might be able to measure it in terms of units of time.” Oh yeah, in response to your questions; no, it’s not a unit of time, you just measure it in units of time.
Last question/guess, come up with something good.

20)

Is it life?

(your name here) asked: 20) Is it life?

I am a lobster, nope… Sorry. That’s kind of creepy, though. I almost used life as my ‘it.’ But since it’s not right… it’s wrong.
HAHA! Victory at last!
From this point on, keep on guessing and asking questions. Keep numbering, too. If you don’t get it by #30, I’ll spoil the game and tell you what it is. Good luck.

  1. Is it boredom?

Ouch, zinger!

YLT, you might wanna think about just chalking one up in the W column and letting this one go. They’re not getting closer, and it’s sort of anticlimactic to get to 20 and nothing happening. Whaddayathink?

Actually, I was being serious. It fits the criteria. It was on my mind because I was taking a break from a programming assignment.

So, not boredom, then?

Is it age?

Lightning, hmm… Yeah, the whole not-getting-any-closer is very true. They’re way off the ball. I suppose I’ll end it right here and now. The final answer is…

Music.

Amazing, ain’t it? Now, lets go over the clues.
2) It’s not an emotion, though thats up for debate.

I said that because artists often express emotion in their music, and somone might have taken me up on whether or not it actually was emotion.
3) It’s not visible.

I was confused at first because the first thing that popped into my mind was sheet music. I then figured that sheet music really only symbolized real music, so I changed it to no.
4) It’s encountered daily.

Most encounter it daily at least.
7) It’s not a physical phenomenon.

Sound and music seemed to go together, so I said that if light and stuff like that were phenomenons, then sound should be too. So I said it dealed with it, but actually wasn’t a phenomenon by itself.
9) It can be owned, but it’s “iffy”.

You could buy a CD and say you own it, or you could be an artist and copyright something. However, some people may disagree and say you can’t actually own it.
10) It’s not energy.

Me and WL talked about this. I said that I wanted the concept of music, and not really the actual vibrations and such. Thus, it was changed.
14) It can be measured. (See White Lightening’s post for details.)

Yeah, time is the magic word. At first I was thinking of decibels, which brings us back to the vibrations and such. Which would be no, Lightning caught me though.
15) It can’t exist without living beings.

If there is no one around to play it, it can’t really exist, can it?
16) It doesn’t require more than one being.

Give me a guitar and I’m set.
There you have it. If you disagree with something else, sorry. I gave you my best answer. I’ll start 5.0 game sometime soon, probably either Thursday or Friday.
Thanks for playing.
