Out of 681 on this computer:
Forgot to mention: out of 1423 tracks, and I was shocked none of my anime/J-pop came up, nor any of the classical that I listen to…
Honey, anyone who listens to Squirrel Nut Zippers, Enya, and Leonard Bernstein is cool by me. We’re a pretty eclectic bunch – there’s bound to be someone out there who shares your tastes.
And now you’ll have to excuse me. “Now We Are Free” just came on and I need to lip sync.
Pretty indicative of my tastes if you add a little more 'Floyd and less Kinks.
Thank you for your support. Actually there’s little listed here that I’m unfamiliar with or couldn’t eventually find on one of my random lists. There are some things I’m definitely going to look up though – since obviously age has slowed down my awareness of new music. (It comes with teenagers moving out to college and a ton of stuff the spouse wants you to take care of, and still believing it is possible to become the creative artist you’ve always wanted to be, but took that computer job because the money was just too consistent and not all that bad.) What’s the quote? “Life is that thing that happens while you’re making plans.”
Is the Howard Hughes version of that “Life is the thing that happens to you while you’re making planes?”
I digress. We now return you to your random musical selections. . .
From my I-Tunes List
I’m not gonna bother trying to figure out what that list says about me.
3 repeats from earlier lists, two bands twice represented. A lot of songs I haven’t listened to in a long time, and even forgot I had.
XXRS 2.0
What has surprised me is that in the 2 times I have done this, I have only had 2 Talking Heads songs come up and they are the most represented artist in my collection. Also the two GNR songs back to back kinda freaked me out.
This is fun…

A little more variety… But still not my ideal playlist, of course!
The ones I actually would listen to (skipped a few):
Also, might I suggest A band first, song after format?
I’m guessing a lot of people, myself included, scan over the list of bands they like, and then see what other bands that person is intersted in… and listing the song names just makes it hard to do.
Take two - this time a bit more varied. I’ll use SenorBeef’s suggested format with annotations after the song title where needed.

That’s a bit better, still seems an odd mix to me. No PDQ Bach, or other Bach, and I’ve not listened to that Amy Grant for years…
Odd, I’d expect a lot more Beatles and They Might Be Giants. U2 and James Taylor were totally unexpected.

I was a little dissapointed that no Monty Python or Rocky horror got in there and it’s rather tame but other than that it’s ok. And (BTW) nothing like anyone elses lists. But that’s ok with me!
NA. Intermission - Tool
This set was fantastic. Every song is great. The Dandy Warhols keep getting double plays in these lists. Once again a lack of Talking Heads.
