In my opinion, Clooney was the least bad part of the movie. The problem was not Clooney. The problem was that Schumacher was trying to re-make the Adam West TV show, while the rest of us wanted the _film noir_ style of the comic books. ---

I’ve never seen it, but let’s be fair, it couldn’t possibly have been as bad as Superman IV: The Quest for Peace. I mean, I’ve seen better special effects than that from contemporaneous school-camp productions, and that was the good part of that movie. ---

Superman IV was far worse than any Schumacher Batman film. ---

I wish to be excluded from this iteration of “the rest of us.” I’ll go further and declare that the discovery that Schumacher was trying to recreate an Adam West-style of Batman movie may just incline me to seek it out for a viewing. ---

No, no! Flee while you still can! There is none of the charm of the Batman TV show. That was only one person’s opinion, the rest of us say it was the director and producers and scriptwriters just not caring. I don’t fault the actors… so, if you want to see Clooney, O’Donnell, and Silverstone having fun as a Bat-team; and Thurman and Schwarzenegger hamming it up as villains, go ahead and watch… ---
