It’s precisely because I take such responsibility so seriously that I understand that silence betokens consent, and I have tried to make it clear that they do not act in my name, and they do not speak for me.
Do you think political action begins and ends at voting? I do vote, but I know quite a few people for whom voting is frankly insulting and taboo, echoing Emma Goldman who said that if voting changed anything it would be illegal.

How would the drones help? The Nigerian government admits they know where the girls are being held, but they’re afraid to do anything because BH might kill them, and they’re not willing to discuss a prisoner exchange because having BH members locked up is more important to them than 260 kidnappings.

How do you kidnap 200 girls anyway?
Do you get a fleet of trucks or school buses to take them away?
Or do you make them go on a forced march?
Surely you don’t buy 200 airline tickets. The security would be bound to foul you up somehow.
But just what would you do to get 200 girls out of one place and safely to another place? Seems very dangerous to me. How would you avoid getting caught unless you bribed all the local authority (i.e. cops)?
Or maybe the local cops helped take them away?
Seems to me that kidnapping two girls would be a huge risk - too big to be practical. But 200 girls? The kidnapper must be some kind of movie star or something. Stallone maybe?

Well, no. The Nigerian government has trouble keeping teachers in school and running other basic services. They probably do not have an elite hostage rescue unit.

Kidnapping two girls is inconceivable. Kidnapping one girl is practically impossible. I only know of one case in the last 30 years of a girl getting kidnapped.

Well shit, if Boko Haram says they are taken care of and safe then that’s all we need to know. The fact that the Nigerian government feels ok about the situation now puts me even more at ease because that’s a government that has a rep for having it’s shit together.
