# 200+ kph in a wind-powered vehicle

The [Greenbird](http://www.greenbird.co.uk/home), an exotic “land sailer” has set a new speed record at near 203 kph (126 mph). Not bad for wind power alone.

It’s interesting to note that in the right conditions unpowered sailplanes can easily beat this in level flight.
