Iā€™m $20,000 in debt, too! And I didnā€™t even do it irresponsibly. $12800 of it is my primary college loan. $2500 is my secondary college loan. Plus, thereā€™s my car, thatā€™s another $6500. And I just moved across the country, which wasnā€™t cheap, and am now carrying a balance on my credit card for the first time in my life. (Fortunately, all my interest rates are very low.) Heck, I think I deserve money more than she does. I wasnā€™t out buying Prada shoes. My idea of a treat is a basket of strawberries for dessert. A container of ice cream is too much of a splurge. Iā€™m torn between saying ā€œAnd I never thought about asking strangers for help!ā€ and ā€œWish Iā€™d thought of this first.ā€ I dream about the day I will be out of debt. So I can empathize with her plight - like her, I donā€™t make enough very much money. But she does seem seperated from reality. I know I am poor, I know itā€™ll take me years to pay off all of my loans. This chick doesnā€™t seem to be able to deal with that realization. ---

**Kyla, FCM** and others with ligit reasons for your debt: business, school, car, homeā€¦thatā€™s normal and reasonable, IOW, not ā€œbadā€ debt. What this chick has done is completely _un_reasonable and terribly short-sighted. Giving in to instant gratification is only a good idea if it isnā€™t going to haunt you for years to come, and school loans are about as far from instant gratification as you can get. ---

**Fenris Describes the Mess Heā€™s In** Iā€™m not actually in debt (well, a mortgage payment, but thatā€™s budgeted for and a small credit card debt thatā€™s exactly where I want it), but I find myself short on pornography. I am 20,000 nude babe pictures in debt. When I first started downloading porn on BBSs back in the early '80s, I downloaded a floppy worth of porn a day. **Why Is He In This Mess?** But now that Iā€™m able to download more, silly stuff likeā€¦a job and a life (and my SDMB time) are cutting into my ability to meet my high, exacting requirements for ā€œlots and lots of good pornā€. **So Why Doesnā€™t He Just Download More** Two reasons. First the Usenet used to be the best place for harvesting porn, but most groups have been taken over by spam. Yahoo Groups have become unreadable with Yahooā€™s fuckheaded new format (Yahoo Clubs rocked, Yahoo Groups suck. And spammers have discovered them anyway). And pay-sites are unthinkable. Second, If I spent more time searching for and downloading porn, Iā€™d have less time to spend here. Knowing how much you all cherish my deathless prose, I couldnā€™t do that to you. **What can _I_ do to help?** So Iā€™m asking for donations. But donā€™t just send me any old porn you happen to have lying around. I might already have it. What Iā€™d like is for all Doper-babes to send me home-made nudie shots of themselves. That way Iā€™ll know A) itā€™ll be good (Doperbabes are, _by definition_, hot and B) original. **What do I get out of it?** I too believe in Karma, which is a nice way of saying ā€œnothing muchā€.
