OK, never before have I gone so long without chocolate. I seem to have kicked that habit. I also have gone two weeks without beer and just as long without diet soda.

I dunno if this is leading to weight loss, but I can tell you that I feel better. Much fewer energy fluxuations.

OK, just got back from a party. Had ONLY two beers (amazing for me) and ate very moderately. I am doing very well with this eating thing lately.

Was good again all week. No chocolate. A few beers last night as the guys came over to watch pre-season football. But only a few.

For the first time I dreamt of eating cookies. Oreos dipped in milk and nutter butters. I hope that doesn’t mean the sugar cravings are starting to work their way into my sub-concious. However, if they stay in my dreams, that will be OK. No cravings this morning.

One of the guys at work remarked that he thinks I look thinner from when he met me on memorial day. That too is a good thing.

All in all, it was a good week.

Yay, Khadaji!

I had my official weigh-in at the doctor’s office on Thursday. I’ve lost another 11lbs. this past month, for a total so far of 61.

I’ve lost over 40 lbs so far, since January. It’s slow, but it’s coming off. The Byetta helps, I think. I take 2, 10 microgram injections per day.
I’m eating much better now, because of the diabetes. So, it’s all working in my favor. At least I (along with insulin injections each day, too) can control the diabetes for now. That’s what matters, I guess.

The big picture is that the weight is coming off. I’m glad I don’t have much more to lose…But…will I be able to KEEP IT OFF? I suppose I will keep it off. I have to, if I want to be healthy.

I’m losing, but so damned frustrated at how slowly it’s happening. I’m only down two pounds in two weeks.

This is why I have not weighed in since the beginning. If I were losing, it wouldn’t make me more determined, but if I’m not, it might spoil my willpower. This way I just keep striving for life-changes.

I really believe that I am much better off than I was in January, regardless of how much I have or haven’t lost. (Although I want to lose too.)

I started my diet March 13, and if the scales are accurate I have lost 48 pounds so far, going from 227 to 179. My size 20 jeans were so big on me I was having trouble keeping them up. I wanted to wait to buy new clothes until I hit my goal weight of 170. So I did the cheap thing, and went to Goodwill. Found a pair of 16’s and they fit! Comfortably!

Loss tempts me to ease up on my diet, so I try not to do it too often. Sometimes, like for a family birthday, I have cake and ice cream, but just one piece and one scoop, unlike before when I’d go back for thirds.

I want to get back to size 14.

I seem to have hit a plateau. I’ve been hovering around 188 for about a month now.

I’ve had dreams of brownies, which are my all-time favorite dessert. It doesn’t make me crave them; it makes me think I already had some.

Congrats on the weight loss.
