OK, Gore Vidal is being as much of a jerk as \*JOHN \*Bolton and making less sense. How about we only have American pundits who are capable of behaving themselves on international TV for a while?

Sorry, they include the esteemed Senator Sanders and also the somewhat less esteemed Senator Lieberman, both of whom caucus with the Dems.

57 if you don’t count those two. That’s what I’m predicting and I also think it is max, even though CNN hasn’t formally called Saxby Chambliss in Georgia.

That was about the best speech I’ve heard McCain make. I’d have been even more impressed if I wasn’t aware of the sort of campaign he ran.

Meanwhile, for those who were asking about Michelle “Obama’s un-American” Bachmann, as of an hour or so ago she was up by four or five points over Tinkle… Tinklen… Twinkle… er, the other guy. Still a little ways to go before we overcome divisiveness, I guess.

Not gay, no longer in L.A. (or California, for that matter), not 18-29 years old. But I hope it’s defeated.

Was he being serious? I thought I could sense a smirk throughout that interview. I know nothing of the man though.

It was very funny.

There doesn’t have to be. Several moderate Repos, correctly gauging the new political winds, will undoubtedly cross over on any legislation which is halfway reasonable.

One lost his House seat: Tim Mahoney in Florida. Some hassle concerning his mistress.

In Minnesota it’s showing Al Franken and Norm Coleman in a dead heat with 49% of the precincts reporting.

Keep an eye on GA… If Chambliss is held to less than 50%, we have a runoff. And the last precincts reporting are heavily Dem…
